DT is gonna be sick to play. I'm pumped about the Lit song too!I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.

Looking forward to this game, and thank goodness RB1 DLC and instruments are compatible. Smartest decision any gaming company has made in awhileCheck out my Tampa Bay Buccaneers CFM Thread.
You too can be a 5* recruit at FSU.......

Re: Rock Band 2
Loving it so far. It took me some tweaking to get the sounds I wanted and adjust the drum pads to comfortable heights, but after getting that taken care of it's been great for learning the drums without getting thrown out of my apartment. It works pretty well on Rock Band in practice mode, and the skills I learned playing drums in RB actually translated pretty well to the kit, although each song requires some practice in figuring out which pads to hit. There's no visual feedback to how I'm doing but I can HEAR how I'm doing which, IMO, is far superior. I know how I'm doing on a song without having to see a score.
Anyway, I've bought a drum pad to practice rudiments on and a couple of drum lesson DVD's in order to improve my drumming fundamentals. There's also a guy who builds an adaptor which connects electronic kits to Rock Band on the PS3 and I ordered one of those. It'll take about a month to get it but once I do I should be able to jam along on both RB and RB2 on the electronic kit.
I'd recommend to anyone who wants to take the next step in drumming and is not in a situation where playing an acoustic kit is practical to take a look at some of the electronic drum kits available.Comment

Re: Rock Band 2
Dude, that is sick. It's really awesome to see people taking the next step. How good did you get on RB before you made the switch over?
BTW, I also picked up a drum pad for rudiments. I'm going to give my drummer friends the shock of their lives in like three weeks, haha.Comment

Re: Rock Band 2
I'm okay, not great. I can 4* and 5* most of the songs on Hard and can play about a dozen songs on Expert. Right now I'm practicing the first tier Expert songs on the DM5 Pro. There's definitely a transition required from the RB drums to the electronic kit but it's not as bad as I thought. What I like is that if I'm sloppy when playing a song I can definitely hear it which is helping teach me to become more precise. More so than just waiting to see my score at the end.Comment

Re: Rock Band 2
Hey, if anyone is real hard up for cymbals on Rock Band, they could always spend 40 bucks and three hours to do this:
