What have they been complaining about?

I dug this up on their forums and it doesn't sound too bad. I will still pick these up today if I can find them. Figure too, some people have to be beating the hell out of them.

Hey guys. Well it seems that DavidShek has answered all of the questions very well. Here is the post I gave to the devs about my play session for the first time on RB2. I think it is a totally awesome game, and way more fun that RB1. One thing I forgot to add is that I also gold starred songs off the bat with this kit as well. Enjoy

I did not get to test on 9/13 (Saturday) But Sunday (9/14) was mega day!! this drum kit was rocked for a full 11 hours yesterday!! This now brings my total time up to 31 total hours. Man it was crazy as I knew it would be on launch day! I played with my band the Rock Gamers for a few hours then had to leave. When I stopped my son began and rocked it until I came back, then after that I rocked some tour challenges and then we rocked together.

So after 31 hard hours, my red pad bubble has gotten worse. It is now to the point that you can look across the room and see the puff in it. When you hit it, it feels like you are hitting an air bubble. To give a visual which is the only one that comes to mind, it looks like a giant nipple. (ok every one mind out of the gutter LOL)

However the pad still functions and drops no notes! The blue pad as I mentioned has a crack. The crack has gotten a little worse, but it still the blue pad is not skipping a beat! I did very well when playing with the band, and any misses were because of me. Sight reading can do that to you!

Ths structure is still very sound. Nothing has come loose and the stand has still stayed in the same place! On the RB1 kit the stand liked to move down, so I think you guys did a better job on the holding clips.

The pedal is still whole and in one piece!! I cannot break this pedal. I mean Blind played with steel toe boots and still could not break the pedal!

I will say this again. With the amount of force I have put on the pedal on purpose, if this was a RB1 pedal it would have already been broken.

All in all I know people on the boards are having issues with their kits. I know we all have pre production kits which are lower quality than what they the consumer is receiving. But based on my test results so far, I would buy another one of these kits and say it is worth the $89.99.

Also the battery life seems to be amazing. After 31 hours I still have not changed batteries, and I still have 3 bars left which is only one down from full.

Also when it comes to pedals, I was tired as hell when I was done yesterday, however I had been looking at my new kick box for days as I was not using it during testing.

So after I logged hours for testing I had to play one song with this box since I am going to have to review it after I put in a few more hours.

No offense to Harmonix, but if you are a serious drummer either real or Rock Band only, this is the solution for you!!

I know I have reviewed every pedal in the land, and I know I swear by the Rock Pedal, and as a pedal I still do.

However nothing compared to using a real kick! No sensors to worry about and if you miss a bass not you know you missed a bass note.

I use the same kick as DavidShek which is a Roland KD-8 and I use a DW5000 pedal.

A kick box and one of these kits should be enough for anyone that is playing from easy to expert!!

I've been using the drums since Sunday when I finally unpacked them, and haven't had a single issue or problem. They feel and sound 100X better than the old drums.

Haven't read the complaints, but since I'm not having issues, not going to bother either.

        Eli,
I gotta disagree with ya man, I love the new setup, and hated the linear list they had before. Not sure why the took it out though, why not just add single player BWT to the already existing feature set?

I swear, my view on this game just feels empty. Until they bring back linear setlist with stars AND scores, I simply won't enjoy it like I should.
I can't move my fingers fast enough either, but I was able to pass the song with a 4-star. The best streak I got on that part of the song was like a 3x multiplier, but it only happened once.

Got the new RB2 guitar today, I hated the first one, we'll see if this one is an improvement.

I'm going to see if I can take a trip to Wal-Mart/Target/Best Buy today to see if I can find any of the RB2 instruments when I go to try and get NHL. I'm hoping to be able to get the drums and guitar, but I'll take one or the other, honestly.

I'm interested in your opinion of the new one. I hated the RB1 guitar with a passion which led to buying two Nyko guitars instead. I like the look of the RB2 guitar and it would be nice to play a guitar that didn't click so much, but I hated the mushyness of the RB1 guitar and the fretbuttons were too clunky.

You are on a roll. End of the week, you will have bought the Rock Band 2 mic.

Reading around, the new guitar is not that good and I am just going to wait for the new GH guitar to release so we can have a second wireless guitar. The kids continue to run back and forth when my wife tries to play bass on the xplorer since its wired.

I'm the only one of my friends who likes the RB1 guitar, so if the RB2 guitar is a slight upgrade over that I'll be in love.

It is probably because I never played GH or anything, so the RB guitar was the first I ever used. Plus, for some reason, I love using the high/solo buttons for the entire song. It seems to keep my hand from getting too tired since the buttons are close together and I don't have to shift as much.

So i found the new drums last night! They work fantastic IMO. Very quiet and VERY responsive.

The only problem, is that sometimes the yellow pad registers the blue pad if you hit it in just the right spot. But if you hit the yellow pad in the middle like your supposed to, than you are fine.

We need to get an OS band started soon. Lets dooo it

Amazon is the only one carrying the single cymbal as well as the full triple pack. Canceled my EB order, ordered them from Amazon instead.

Since they already have death growls on the game and have alternative vocal styles does anyone else besides me think it's time they put some Screamo on there as DLC?

I'm guessing if EB releases next week, so will Amazon, but 10/30 sounds more realistic for a release date IMO.
