I'm back in Rock Band 2 heaven. I bought that Blockhead Rhythm Maker bass pedal and all is right with the world I highly recommend it. It's better than the stock pedal in every way, and is probably the best option if you don't want to shell out 70+ dollars on one of the custom pedals. It's definitely better than simply reenforcing your stock pedal. It's built more like a bass pedal, has a solid rubber foundation, doesn't slide around and is pretty quite. Love it. My scores are already increasing because of the better responsiveness. Great buy for only 30 bucks.


I love the 20 free tracks. Some great, fun songs on there. I won't hold it against them that they cut my BTBAM short. Well, not much anyway.

You got a link for that? Only $30? That's dirt cheap. If my pedal goes out, I've always liked the look of the Rock Pedal, but $30 is hard to turn down.

I was pretty much sure that the whole music game phenomenon meant that there would be more rock bands.

I was pretty much sure that the whole music game phenomenon meant that there would be more rock bands.

But Harmonix has stayed true to their usual formula of 2 games and then a new ip.

Frequency -> Amplitude
Guitar Hero 1 -> Guitar Hero 2 (Rocks the 80s was only made to fill the requirement of their contract)

Rock Band -> Rock Band 2

They stopped making the GH franchise because they were bought by another publisher.

I'm pretty sure that Harmonix is going to continue to make games in the Rock band series.

Just recently picked up Rock Band and I have been trying to play using my GH3 Les Paul

My problem is that is doesn't seem to work with Rock Band, the blue button doesn't always work (already tried replacing the batteries).

I noticed from scanning the threads here that a lot of people use this guitar with Rock Band and I was wondering if anyone has had this problem.

I would buy another les paul if mine is just defective.

Another question for you Rock Band2 vets.
I ordered a second guitar this morning so my wife and i can play in our band with my mother and stepdad. Can you have offline guitar battles like in Guitar Hero III. That would be a huge plus in owning the second guitar. My son and I always liked to battle to see who was better on the guitar in Guitar Hero III. If I can do this in Rock Band 2 than I will be a happy camper.

There are a couple offline multiplayer battles. Like a tug-o-war game where you alternate playing parts and whoever plays better pulls the rope harder. I think there is also just a standard battle where you both play the same song and the winner is the one with the most points, but there is nothing like GH3's guitar battle where you have to play lefty, or increase difficulty, etc.

the thing I hated about the battles in GH3 was the poorly thought out death drain crap in "overtime".
