Re: Red Dead Redemption
This is awesome. There's so much detail and random events.
I came across some drunk guy crying by the side of a dead woman; I stood there for a second and then started to ride off. Suddenly I hear a gunshot and I just do a dead stop on my horse and quickly turn around and go back and sure enough the guy is lying there dead. So I looted the rest of his bullets.
Some cool fun with the wildlife. Chased down a pack of foxes or something and shot all but one... It was in a field, though, so I couldn't find their bodies afterward to skin.
On top of that, I was exploring around and suddenly I'm knocked down off my horse (who then lands on me) only to find out some cougar has found me... It was too fast and it killed me pretty quickly. I forgot about that special slow-mo thing during that encounter, or I may have lived.
What happens when you die? Do you lose something? In GTA I always just reloaded because I didn't like losing things. In this one I just let it go and respawned in town and went back out exploring. I couldn't see if I lost anything, though, but I appeared to have all the stuff I had looted from animals as well as my weapons. I had no money to lose; so I don't know if it would have taken some.Last edited by MC Fatigue; 05-19-2010, 07:59 PM.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Some guy comes running up to me asking for a ride(the way he was running was kind of weird too)...I was suspicious so I shot him 5 times in the face. Sure the first shot killed him, but I wasn't taking any chances.
Overkill? Yes. Fun? OH YEAH. This game just keeps getting better the more I play.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Just got the game. I got lucky, it was sold out at gamestop but, they had just a few copies left at wal-mart(FTW!!!). I haven't gotten a chance to pop it in yet but, I will pretty soon. I haven't hardly followed this game at all and I've heard the gameplay and visuals are pretty nice so I thinking I'm probably going to be blown away at first sight.
I don't expect to be disappointed because, one It's made by Rockstar and two It's made by Rockstar. I have yet to buy a game made by them that I didn't absolutely love. Hope It's worth the 60 bucks.Originally posted by WatsonTigerOne out of 7 billion, and we still tagged your ***.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
So up until now I hadn't committed any crimes...well...I accidentally ran over this guy who JUMPED IN MY WAY while I was going full speed on my horse.
Granted I shouldn't be going full speed right through Armadillo, but he could have jumped the other way.
Ok so people see it happen and I have a bounty of $5. No big. Then I make the dumb decision to shoot at the guys trying to catch me...and now I've managed to rack up a $140 bounty on my head. I can pay that off seeing as I have $228.
So on the map I see that is says where I can pay the bounty, I'm right where it is but there's nothing prompting me to pay or anything.
Am I missing something here?
BTW I have a Pardon Letter as well...not sure if that makes a difference or not.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
one thing is storm gang hideouts with people which is really fun even with just one other person.
There is one question I need the answer to though... I want to play free for all or other PvP modes, but want everyone to use expert aim (no auto-aim) I can't for the life of me figure out how to do that. To me that's what's taking the fun out of MP is everyone just using auto-aim. I'd like free roam and any other mode I enter to be filled with just expert aim people.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
So I lasso'd the guy that attacks the prostitute, lay him on the tracks nd waited for the train.
Very much worth the couple of hours it took for the train to arrive. Pretty shocking..::..::::::::.:.:.:.:....:::.:.::::..:.:::....:::: ...:..::."When you're an assassin, you don't have a conscience"-Gilbert ArenasComment

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Wow the thunderstorms are awesome. I like how you can tell when a storm is rolling in by the clouds and how it gets progressively more cloudy and windy.
Very very cool.
And I just shot the head off of a buck. Sweet.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment
