So is that trophy really that serious? I'm obviously not gonna get that with my weak horse, and am just gonna do the level 50 one first, but just curious.

Don't even need that. You can make it in like 4 game hours just using a rhythm of tapping A with the footsteps of your horse and when your stamina is empty just hold A to let him regen and then get back in the rhythm again.

Yeah I did it pretty easily. The only thing that slowed me down is somebody must have spawned in the middle of Macfarlane Ranch and killed me as I was passing through.

I just had a funny free roam experience. I was in Greenhollow looking for Gordo the Boar. I must have killed two dozen boars, still no Gordo. I see some player on top of the cliff just standing there. Then I hear some kid say, "If anyone can hear me, come up to this cliff. Slimkibbles, I have a pile of dead horses for you." Then he giggles. I get blindsided by a boar and then killed by another while I'm on the ground. The kid laughs about that, so I pull out my rifle, and start shooting at him. Apparently I hit him in the head because he died. Then all I hear is, "Hey, that wasn't nice. I don't know why he did that," like he was talking to someone else with him. He seemed totally shocked that anybody could do such a thing on there. I was LMFAO.

          Funny stuff Slim.

I wish I could get back into this game, but every since my save went corrupt (near the end of Mexico), I couldn't stand to restart. I have never seen the North Territory either. That's the section that I was most excited for.

Ah well... maybe in a few months it'll hit me to start over.

Cant you just have someone send you a save point?

BTW I stopped playing as well. Great game but so slow to play once you finish it.

Is it best to finish all the challenges before the end of the story, or does it not matter? I'm on the last hunting and sharpshooting challenges and only have 2 more survivalist challenges left.

Also what is the best multiplayer games to play? I was in Free Roam the other day and couldn't get anywhere without being shot and killed.

You can still run around, but you may not want to. I would do all the side stuff you want to do once you get to Blackwater.

I did all the side stuff first, so when I completed the main story, that's when I got to 100%. I'm weird like that, I've done the same thing with every GTA game.

                    OCD ?

The best way to level up in Multiplayer is to clear gang hideouts in a private session. Then when you're at a fairly high level you will have the firepower to compete with those types of people online.

                      Re: Red Dead Redemption

Haven't played this game close to a week because of vacation and family obligations.
But I got a few good hours in this weekend and I'm still really loving this game.

The only complaints I have is that the world doesn't react to you as much as the early previews said.

First of all, I can go around and be a complete dingus (which I am). Despite shooting woman, throwing innocents off of cliffs and slitting the throats of helpless people, I still see the same cut scenes where I'm being a good guy.

The story and cut scenes should all change the worse I get. And that includes my choices. If you're honor is at -1,000,000 then you shouldn't have the option to help out a nun in need, or to talk a man out of cheating on his wife.

And there needs to be far more repercussions for doing bad deeds. Walking into any town with any sort of law should be a death trap. You should be forced to sneak in at night and then only in disguise or going through back doors.

I hope that's the case for part 2. In fact, I'm not sure if the current-gen consoles can handle this, but I'd love it if you could carve your own story.
Start about by selecting your back story and just run into the world and make your own ending. So if you wanted to be a blacksmith or farmer, you could do that.
If you wanted to be a sheriff, you could do that too.
And each decision, life saved or spent, would trickle through the entire world changing options and perceptions of your character among the NPC's.

Finally going to get a chance to play this game soon. I haven't even seen any videos or screenshots. I've just heard amazing things about it and can't wait to play it. A friend of mine just finished it and is nice enough to just let me borrow it for a month or two.

This is the next step for R*. They have mastered the open world sandbox thing, they just need to start incorporating your non-story actions into the story.

They have never been great at telling a story, but if they start to bridge the gap between the open world portion and the story portion, I think their games will become even better.

Also is there any planned DLC other than the free co-op pack which I've downloaded without even having the game?

I just picked this game up, and I love it. Questions:

                                1. I'm horrible in all aspects of online play. Any tips? Or will practice just make perfect.

                                2. As you gain more experience will target lock happen as easy as it is like in GTA IV? I've noticed that it's more challenging to aim and hit targets in this game. Not a bad thing at all, and not complaining, but just wondering if they make this easier or more rewarding for you once you get more game experience, or have a certain amount of kills, or hit your targets at a certain % similar to GTA San Andreas....

                                Thanks
