Phobia, you may have really sold me on this game. I was quite disturbed with many of the early impressions, but I may just try it.

One thing I enjoy about some shooters are "Hardcore" modes where it doesn't take a ton bullets to take an enemy down. In Brink it seems to take a full clip, what are your experiences with shooting enemies and how many bullets it takes?

It depends on distance, type of weapon, and location of hits. Couple burst might drop a guy in split second if at closer range. At distance you might expel multiple clips at guys before dropping them. So it is a mixture of easy to drop guys and very tough depending on different reasons.

But for the most part it leans more on the arcade side where you have to shoot a lot to drop guys. But it is not as tough as dropping guys in halo and then boooooom you are head shot. It feels much more of a level playing field and makes the action fun with all the rattling of weapons.

Honestly Pete, I played from around 6pm to 10pm central time. Since it was the first day you would expect the game to be loaded down with server issues like most games have on release day. I encountered very very little lag through out my games. Once I got into a game that was lag free it did not pop up here or there, I could tell instantly the game loaded if it was a good server or a faulty one. Then the game played good through out.

Now I am also on a Fiber connection. My internet is faster than 99% of the US so I don't know if that will help much. But do take into account that my internet is VERY fast.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but there is voice chat in this, correct? I was kind of turned off by some of the reviews but the input from you guys have turned the tide and I think I'll end up picking this up the fitst part of next week.

To be honest man I did not even plug in my xbox headset but I can check tonight. The objective system is setup so well talking is not even needed which is fantastic

I have the 30 meg down package and I am getting that speed you saw above. PLUS the pricing is the price you see there no fees or extras.

I was considering moving to the 50 meg down package but I don't think it is needed lol

Yea Klocker I have been VERY happy with my new internet connection. Plus it is soooo cheap. I was paying 70 bucks for a 30 meg Cable connection and moved to the 30 Meg Fiber connection for $45 while getting speeds in the 40s down and 20s up.

Fiber is the future for sure.

I am slowly itching to pick this up. The last few posts have me excited for what this game brings to the table. Once they iron out the netcode and patch a few issues it seems like this game may end up really good.
