Oh sure, would like for Rockstar to get all the songs from the originals plus maybe add some songs that they couldn't get at the time or whatever for a bit of freshness.

I only listened to Chatterbox FM on GTA III anyway. They shouldn't need any licensing for that one!

I spent an entire Duran Duran set at a music festival waiting for them to play 'the Grand Theft Auto commercial song'.

That was the day I learned 'I Ran (so far away)' is by Flock of Seagulls.

I hope they relicense everything they're able.

I'm wait and see with this. I've replayed all 3 a few times post ps2 era, but then buying them again on ps4 last summer I thought they finally reached the point that it was hard to go back to, at least GTA3. Will be interesting to see the improvements.

            Re: Grand Theft Auto V

They definitely earn praise for soundtracks being one of the top features to be retained. GTA 3 was obvious the least favorite, but I still remember a few tracks .

I think I last played all 3 around 6-7 years ago on the PS4. GTA 3 was the one I played the least. I think I only really got fully through it once. In the PS2 era, I think I got through just over half of it before getting stuck on a mission and later beat it entirely on the PS4. The other 2, I probably got through 3-4 times. I usually don't replay a game like that.

But, I am more interested in a potential GTA Trilogy remaster than GTAV Expanded and Enhanced. It does depend on how much more story content they add. I probably got through the game 3 times in 6 years. Not much of the game that I don't remember. Out of the last 5 major releases(GTA 3 ->GTA V), GTA V's story is probably my least favorite. I'll probably play it, but want to be almost blown away to actually play it and beat it again

              Re: Grand Theft Auto V

I fully expect to see an update on Enhanced and Expanded GTA V in the PS5 event next Thursday 9/9. I was wondering when we were going to hear about this with it slated to be released in 2 months. If the GTA Trilogy remaster rumors are true, we'll likely hear about it next week as well.

                Re: Grand Theft Auto V

That was kind of meh. Didn't look to much enhanced than it already was. It might be something that you have to wait until they go into further detail about the game. Surprised that it was delayed since it is a remaster that I'm sure has been underway for couple years now.

I might fully past on it unless it is an free upgrade, even then I'm not sure. As I said before, I'm not into GTA Online and the GTA V story is probably my least favorite out of the series. I still hope the rumors of the GTA Trilogy remasters are true.

Really tough sell if it's not free. Looks like a pass of RTX and HDR on that old engine, doesn't hold a candle to what mods have accomplished for years.

Only reason for a delay is if it's to coincide with a content release imo, perhaps to kick off the GTA 6 PR?

I don't see the difference. Gonna pass until there's a price drop if they charge $70 for it.

I agree. It doesn't hold a candle to the mods we've seen the last several years. It seems like it will be a likely dynamic 4k60, option for performance RT mode, better lighting, faster loading, and DualSense support. If itcid something to that effect, than this should have been a next gen patch not a "Remaster". At least give a Saints Row 3 Remaster attempt, where they drastically improved lighting and textures. This almost feels like a Cash Grab remaster

Probably a content drop. I don't see any GTA 6 info coming out until likely 2023 E3. I can see it being another few years before anything about GTA 6 if it is true about a 2024-25 release. There's probably an Online Content drop they want to coincide with the release. That's the only reason I see a delay. This doesn't like much more than a up-res/RTX remaster of a remastered PS3/360 game

A random video (from a year ago) of examples I was referring to. Modders have added ray tracing, global illumination, euphoria physics, among other things. Rockstar likely can't even do some this stuff w/ the resources available on the PS5.

This seems like it would have been the perfect opportunity to add the single player content that they ended up dicing up for GTA Online. I beat GTA5 4 or 5 times already and I love the world but I'm WAY over it now. They can keep this.

Fully agree. But I thought when it was initially announced last year that it would have additional single player content. Even if it does, I'm not that interested. As for as visuals, we do have to remember that this a remaster of a remastered PS3/PS4 game. So unless they could reach mod levels, only so much better it could get visually.

Who knows if that GTA Trilogy remaster is true or not. But if we aren't getting GTA VI for years and nothing else Rockstar-related, then they could have did a Single Player DLC. After all this time, they could have done a 4 hour Los Santos Stories Single Player DLC for $9.99. I would pay for that. I'm not interested in going through that story again.
