I was expecting wolves and bears when I went up the path to High Hrothgar-not expecting a Dragon.

Also-my wife Brelyna summoned a Frost Atranach to take out a wolf while I was hiring my steward-coolest thing ever. My house at Lakeview will be in good hands if anything happens to my steward.

So this weekend I decided to do my first Skyrim PC play through (beat game on Xbox when it originally came out got a gaming pc last summer). I spent many hours this weeken downloading, installing, testing and sorting load orders of 55+ mods. Game is amazing in looks, feel and gameplay now. I'm most excited to try out moon path to Elswrey story mod to see what that looks like. Played about 5 hours today decided to do able nord stormcloak basic i know but I have done a argonian Mage on Xbox. Needless to say I'm hooked again after logging numerous hours on Xbox.

Now the bad news. I have 3 weeks left in the semester with 3 finials and a research paper due after that so getting hooked on Skyrim right now wasn't my smartest move.

The GOTY edition is now out-they're calling it Legendary. It comes with the 1.9 update and all 3 DLC.

There's literally no reason for me to buy that, right? I have all the DLC.

My mistake, they only announced it. It'll be coming out June 4 in the US and June 7 for the European territories. It was on one of the Bioware blogs and mentioned on the forums.

I just started another play through as a Redguard. Wondering why didn't go this route sooner since I love going one-handed, mage on people! Redguard meets all my strengths. Any of y'all done / doing a Redguard play through?

Would you care to share which ones you are using? I'm interested in replaying this game with some mods and looking to make it the best play through as possible.

Id be happy to. Depending on how powerful your PC you may not want everything i have. Most mods require SKSE and some require SKYUI. All mods I'm using are on the Skyrim Nexus. Currently I'm using:

Thanks for that list. I'll be sure to check out all of them and see how they work with my rig. Is there a certain order I need to install them in or does it not matter?

Skyrim 2K doesn't cover any textures from the DLCs, unless something changed recently. If you want the most up-to-date textures, you'll have to use Serious HD. Also, just my opinion, there are much better textures than what 2k offers (SRO, Tobes, etc.). Skyrim 2k was the first texture revamp, so that's probably why it gets all the love. I believe the game looks better if you use specific mods for specific textures such as HD Linens, Tobes furniture, etc..

Also, you should always clean any mods that haven't been cleaned. This can be done with TESVEdit (download from Nexus). Unclean mods mean crashes are more likely...and that's not good.
