Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I think I need to just stop reading about this game until it is out. I'm getting myself worried that the PS3 version won't be up to par, but in reality, it should be fine. I'm sure this will be gaming heaven.
Basically, just gonna chill out with UC3 until next Friday, then it's goodbye social life.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Do yourself a favor and resist the urge to read spoilers and watch videos. Trust me. The biggest thrill is discovering all of the secrets to Skyrim on your own.
Besides, is anything you read or see at this point really going to sway your decision to buy the game one way or the other? I would think that with two weeks to go until release, you probably already know whether you're in or you're out.
Yes, it plays alot like Oblivion and Fallout 3. And yes, for better or worse it has some of the same quirks that those games had. But as someone who poured well over a hundred hours into both Oblivion and Fallout 3, I'm OK with that. If you didn't like Oblivion or Fallout 3, then no, you probably aren't going to care for Skyrim, either.
Now I'm going to get off my soapbox and get back to playing the game.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
My only true question I have is can I get it for PS3 and not worry about issues or graphical downgrade compared to 360 version.
Like mentioned before, my PS3 is in my bedroom and used 99% for my singleplayer games. I want to be able to lay in bed and play this for hours.
So I guess only thing I can do is not get it release day and wait a day or two to read about the PS3 vs 360 debates.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
. Luckily, I don't have a decision to make, as i've only got a PS3 and a computer that can't run it.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
My computer can run it fine but I just don't feel like sitting at a computer desk the entire game like I did with Oblivion. I am going for the more laid back relax approach lolComment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Slightly OT, but the wait just got easier. Checked Gamefly, and despite them not receiving my last game back until Saturday to open a spot in my queue, Uncharted 3 still shipped. Should be here Wednesday. So that gives me a little over a week to beat the single player, then it's off to Skyrim.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Plus a mouse, plus a keyboard, plus uncomfortable computer chair versus a nice comfy recliner/couch. I absolutely hate gaming on the PC just because I'd rather use a controller than a mouse. Also not a big fan of having to pretty much ignore my social networking while gaming.. If I'm gaming on PC I have to basically ignore MSN, Twitter, and Facebook unless you want to run it in a Windowed mode or alt+tab every time you hear something.. At least if I'm gaming on a console, I can see an MSN or Echofon notification pop up out of the corner of my eye and glance over and see if it's anything important..Last edited by DakkoN; 10-31-2011, 06:52 PM.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
PC all the way. Hooked to my big screen. Can't wait!
Have a good setup that is very comfortable.
Plus when I game it's about the game and being in that reality. So I basically unhook from the real world.Last edited by Skyboxer; 10-31-2011, 07:52 PM.Joshua:
