Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Perhaps, but it wasn't lying when it said I don't meet the recommended Video card RAM for Battlefield. I can't put it higher than Medium without turning the campaign mode into an unplayable slideshow. It does better in multiplayer because it's a bit less graphic intensive, but since response time is so much more vital there I usually leave it at Medium anyway.Comment

It's not hate. It's the truth. Two top PC games this year....you went out and purchased the console version. It's cool though. We still have room in our hearts for the non PC Elitist.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Well my laptop already goes **** slow, and even though it is able to run Skyrim, I`m going to get the xbox 360 version. But hey, it still has gorgeous graphics, and I`m better with a controller instead of a keyboard, so lets get ready for Skyrim 9 days from now!
IT`S SO CLOSE!Comment

You can use an 360 controller on your PC. You don't have to use the keyboard and mouse unless you just want to. Just saying, don't let that particular [non]issue deter you from getting the PC version.
Yeah, can't wait for next weekend.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I could probably run it on my pc, but I had oblivion for the pc and spent more time testing mods than I did playing the game. It wasn't until this past year I reinstalled oblivion and played with juat a handful of mods that I actually played the game without fiddling with stuff and starting my character over every week.
So I'm going with the console version first. I'll play and enjoy it, then after a year or so I'll probably pick it up for the PC once the good mods have been out for a while and given some time to mature.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I've heard about how you can use the 360 controller on the PC, but since we also have a very low download limit, the mods would probably put me over (depending on what they're supposed to do), so there's also just the issue of Bell being really greedy (same thing with Rogers).
So if mods are also out of the question why not just kick back with my xbox with the amazing graphics that are on the console versions too and just keep switching between The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Halo: CEAComment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Yeah I'm not saying don't get it for the 360. Not trying to persuade you one way or the other. Get it for whatever system you prefer, it's your game/money. I was just saying that use of the controller with the console isn't an issue, since you seemed to be factoring that into the decision, that's all.PS: You guys are great.

Can you use controller and keyboard for spell mapping?Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Guys, be careful with that system requirements lab site...don't use it as a replacement for actually knowing your system's specs in relation to the actual requirements.
This is what I get when I run it on my PC:
The ONLY thing I don't pass reccommended on is Video Card memory, which makes it a little hard to believe the bar would be that low. I know I can run Battlefield 3 on medium, so I'm not the least bit worried about being able to run Skyrim.Comment

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
You mean using them both for certain things? I really don't know, I've never tried. I know on Witcher 2 and some other games I've played with the controller, you choose either or. Maybe there's some software out there that will let you do it, but I've never thought about that.PS: You guys are great.
