What level is your character now, GMSS? I just unlocked Elven smithing last night. Hopefully I can craft a bow soon.

I rock like the lightest of light armor - fur and thats it. I don't like the look of anything else on my guy, though I'm tempted to try out the elven armor. My guy is kind of woodsie, though.

My character is a level 25. I am a level 100 in smithing with all the armor unlocked. Some materials are just hard to come by though, particular for daedric, ebony and glass armor class.

I finally broke down and installed Windows 7 on my iMac just so I could install Skyrim on it instead of having to play on my XBOX. Downloading now and excited to finally get to play properly.

There's a simple tutorial at the start of the game to get your acquainted with the controls.

So yeah......I suppose to be sneaking around this embassy in regular clothes, no armor, only weapon I brought was a dagger. That didn't last long, I just started killing fools left and right with just my dagger, while they were using elven armor, swords and maces.

Killed them all......no armor, just a dagger in my hands. Few mages up in there tried to use their crap, I shouted them into the wall clear across the room over tables and crap.

And why ? My character is a red guard with dreads in his hair and he just don't give a crap. That's why.

My personal rule is to only take items that have a 10:1 ratio of weight to gold.

Are all companions' stats the same? I bested the girl at the Bannered Mare and can tell her to follow me.

I did a couple guild jobs in Whiterun. I'm not sure why they're so obsessed about plates, but they are everywhere. Hell, even the Jarl had a plate in a locked display. For my burglary jobs I've decided I'm going to leave a lockpick behind as my calling card. Once you start thievin' you don't stop.

Take what you think you have a use for (whether that be using it yourself, or selling it for gold), leave the useless things.

Like, always take gold and rubies and things like that, but there's no need to take robes or armor that are worse than what you're wearing or weapons that you already have.
