Or do the opposite. Get there at 11:55 and finish your transaction, (either pay the rest off or they'll give you another regular receipt which is non longer a pre order receipt) get in the back of the line and wait 1 minute till they start handing them out.

When I went to GameStop a while ago (tonight) to pay it off there were already people just hanging out (this is hours before they even close).

Screw that, payed it off and I'll go pick it up tomorrow. Too tired to go back at midnight.

Hey, you gotta do it my way the first time because it's harder...lol. I'll get there right after midnight and just get my game in an empty line.

          Re: Borderlands 2

Now that the review embargo is finally up I can tell you guys how unbelievably awesome this game is. I had fun with the original Borderlands but this sequel just blows that game away.

The way the different guns handle and the sheer variety in weapons make combat a treat. I used Axton and his Sabre Turret is no joke. That thing saved my *** on more than one occasion because most enemies will focus on that in the heat of battle, allowing my shields time to recharge.

Anyone thinking about sticking exclusively to the story missions will miss out on some of the funniest sidequests I've encountered. I won't get into specifics but my hat's off to the writers for coming up with some fantastic scenarios.

Borderlands 2 has jumped to the top of my list for Game of the Year so far.

This is what I'm doing. My GameStop is expecting 200+ even for this game, so I'd rather show up 10-15 minutes after midnight and not have to wait at all.

Anyone want to inform me on how much fun this game is for offline play? Like does it have a good long single player campaign?

The first one was huge and the second one is supposed to be like 70% bigger. The first had a very weak story (wasn't the point of the game anyway) but the second is supposed to be deeper. How much? I don't think that can be answered yet.

Just beat the first boss (2nd with a cut scene intro I believe).

The dialog in this game is the BEST. Playing on steam (PC). Feel free to add me and jump in if you want.

Made it to level 8, and I think it's time to call it a night. Really enjoying the game so far. It took the things that were great and made them better. The only thing I'm still getting used to is the new menus. I preferred the simpler menus in the first one, but I'm sure the new ones will grow on me.

Anyone impressions on PC? Shacknews users are reporting that the game runs great even with settings jacked up. I remember what a dog the first BL was.

I'm new to Borderlands. Did not play the first and everyone's telling me that I really missed out. So I'm thinking about picking this game but I don't really know anything about it.

Is this primarily an offline sandbox or linear story game? Shooter? Basically what's the MO of the game? I really feel like I'm in the dark as to what this game is all about.

                            Is there coop offline?

Is there coop online? And what are the objectives or game modes for online? Is this a lobby shooter ala CoD or GoW?

Rumble, basically look at it as a 1st person shooter with a RPG progression system. It also has a wicked dark sense of humor. look at the videos on youtube. plenty of them there.
