Servers are definitely better now. I haven't had a problem getting in all night. Like most, I'll be happy now when the social aspects of the game have been turned back on. I've maxed out my city in a little 3 city region I made when the game first launched. Sure would be nice if one of you could join me in it.

Gotta say, as frustrating as the first couple days were, I'm having a lot of fun with this game. Playing the NA East 4 tutorial now to try and get into OSVille.

For those jumping servers for the first time, you can exit to the main menu after the tutorial loads and won't have to take it again.

first time ever playing a simcity game. Takes a lot more strategy than anticipated. I made a lot of mistakes and wasted a lot of money, oops. Tomorrow is another day.

If you choose to play single player, are you still able to obtain all of the achievements for the city, or are you basically required to play multiplayer in order to build / see everything for a city?

If you play single player you can choose to control all the cities in the region or just one, so you can pretty much unlock everything on one map if you control more than one city. You can't really have a jack of all trades city since the space is limited but you could control the other towns in your region and use them to supplement each others weakness.

For example you can create a residential city (city A) with just homes and shopping, then have another town have just industries (city B) as long as both cities share a road or railway then the residents from city (A) will commute to city (B).
