If you haven't played the first game, I would definatly pull the trigger. Even the console version is still a fun game. . Not as good graphically as the PC version obviously, but gameplay is still pretty much intact, with the exception of one level that wasn't well liked anyways by PC players.Word of warning though, the last 1/3 of the game get's very linear/corridor like. Crysis 1 and 3 for $40 is great deal.
Also here is the direct quote from the Crysis dev about the game's length
"We have had the single player test by some people. Every person has the potential of Nanosuit played slightly differently. The average time is about 7 to 8 hours. Do you play a little more cautious, and more disguised, of course you need even longer than 8 hours"
So yeah I wish it was longer, but I will take quality over quantity if turns out to be really good. Crysis 2 did have some parts that seemed like filler, fat if you will, that could have trimmed. That is the thing with non-open world shooters, it is hard to create long campaigns, without resorting to adding filler. I will easily play through this 2-3 times, if it doesn't have uninteresting filler.
Here is a couple of minutes console footage for anybody interested, will probally be taken down in short order though, so check it out while you can:
Looks alot better than the beta from a graphical standpoint, which is not surprising. Area looks pretty open as well. The guy playing is playing it like COD though, barely using the suit. That definatly is not on Supersoldier.
