    Agreed! Love these stories.

When is this finally coming out for the PS4?

And how is this compared to Dying Light?

Hour long presentation video on whats to come! Awesome and detailed, I high recommend watching if you are interested or play DayZ.
DayZ is a gritty, authentic, open-world survival horror hybrid-MMO game, players follow a single goal: Survive by any mean necessary.

          DayZ Game Night

So picking up from where our little 4 man random squad left off, I spawned on top of the roof and made my way for Dubrovka yesterday morning before work. I hid a tent in the woods next to Dubrovka so last night I could loot the village and surrounding areas while heading towards the north west airfield.

This trek last night was pretty uneventful. As you can see from the traveled path, I stayed off any roads mainly moved through woods & empty fields. I didn't run into any people or zombies worth noting because of this path, but I did find enough gear to have me ready for any altercation. Along the way I decided to take pictures of the trek as a side thing to do from here on out.

Path traveled, I covered a lot of ground.

Heading out of Dubrovka, my buddy used a blood bag to draw blood from me then gave me the bag so I always had some on me incase of a emergency. It left my vision a little messed up right after.

One more picture of Dubrovka before I duck off into the trees.

Soaking up some sun along the long hike

Spying in on Grishino, hiding behind fallen trees to make sure the coast is clear.

My home for the night, Grishino Police station. Locked all the doors and ready for another adventure in the coming days to the west airfield

End of the trek gear. PM73 RAK submachine gun with 50 rounds plus another 17 rounds to load in the clips. 357 with 9 rounds, plenty of medical supplies, water, and survival gear. Only things I'm lacking currently is food, camo clothing, and a backpack that does not stand out like a sore thumb.

Hey Phobia, I haven't played DayZ in a year are so. Have they added in more zombies and loot? I might get back in if things have improved.

Loot has grown a good bit but zombies are less. They are working on a new zombie AI which you can find the test video on the dayz forums. It looks really good but they have several things taking a load they have to fix before adding in more zombies. They are rewriting the physics engine, a lot of things are on new physics engine but bunch of stuff is still on old physic engine. This means the game is forced to run two physic engines at once which is a killer on optimization, problem is it has to be done until all the old physic engine is replaced and they can remove the old completely.

Next is the rendering engine, the new one will improve the optimization. So once these things are done the zombie count will be upped. Plus even zombie hordes which will be dynamic events like the down helicopters.

So to answer it short, yes on loot, no on zombies. Its improving but remember still a alpha, moving to beta in 2016, and full release early 2017.

I'm liking it, going to be much harder to survive off the coast just from a food & water stand point. I managed to gear up pretty quick last night luckily. Found a Blaze with ammo, 357 with ammo, the largest backpack, and a canteen. So I'm ready to move inland and setup camp finally that persistence is back.

                    Re: Day Z

Well I picked apples for 10 minutes to get to healthy, ran around, have 2 pistols, a flare gun, axe, lots of cereal and rice, and I am still healthy, yet somehow hungry and thirsty at the same time. I don't know if they changed the way the game loads the surrounding area, but it seems like the game runs smoother as if it isn't loading nearly as much around you as it used to, but then if you get ahead of the game, it slows down to a crawl while loading.

I never experienced this before. It's smoother than it ever used to be, but when it gets choppy, it's also worse than it ever has been. However, if the way it is now is the worst it will be from here on out, that will be great. I am getting pretty smooth frames for the most part. Hopefully the render and all make it into the game soon, but knowing DayZ, it won't be soon.

                      Just a heads up Cane.
Healthy is your "blood level". Eating raises it and if healthy is being displayed you are at full health.

Hungry/thirsty operate on two separate scales which get pretty detailed with calories and such. For instance, can of peaches gives water and food. Yet rice and cereal give plus to hunger but negatives to thirst.

Another words its possible to be "healthy" but hungry and thirsty.

The reason the game runs so well now after the 0.58 update is because they removed pretty much all zombies.

No, it was running like this before the update a week or two ago when I was playing. It's like the game isn't loading as much at once on my end and streams it better. Might just be my imagination, but it seems to be a consistent experience. Before it seemed everything was loaded at once and it caused some slowdown, but at the same time I could never sprint through an area and wait on anything to load. Now it seems to not load everything at once and streams it better, but if I sprint for 5 minutes, it sometimes needs a second to load which causes massive slowdown.

Again, nothing may have changed, but my experience was never like this until the last few weeks. It isn't a .58 thing, it's been that way this whole month.

I'm not getting this "loading effect" cane. I've noticed my frames are 5 to 10 frames better at certain times but nothing really that different.

I don't know what it is haha. I just know my game has been running without as many random hiccups. It's pretty smooth at all times now. But if it ever does hang for a moment, it's a lot worse than it ever used to be. Who knows what is going on with it though. Could be a whole host of things that aren't even directly related to DayZ, but something else on my PC.
