Weight is really weird in this game and hard to manage, you get rid of some heavy stuff and the weight doesn't change, and all these different crafting ingredients and such don't help because you never know what you can toss. There is a mod that sets all the crafting supplies weights to zero, I'm tempted to use it.

In the meantime, watch your junk category, especially the animal skins, those things are HEAVY.

Thanks guys. I do a bad job sometimes looking at everything a merchant sells. If I don't see Gwent cards I usually move along lol. Grabbed a 70 lb bag and am good to go now at 130. Thanks again

So buying saddlebags increases weight capacity? If I see a 30 pound saddlebag it adds 30 to maximum weight not makes carry capacity to 30?

Also you can shoot your crossbow underwater. Made getting the the sunken treasure a breeze.

The game was great...aside from the awkward movement and looting system resulting from the third person camera, and the frustrating horse mechanics. And then the ending...

So basically, I would give this game a 9/10 until I finished it. Then probably a 5...only because of how good it was before I foolishly decided to do the final quest.

Playing with the waypoint guide and mini map turned off has turned this game in to sheer crack for me!!

LOOOVE playing it this way, especially while on foot and relying on my witcher sense to save my arse from the unexpected as I wander the countryside. It makes the whole experience more engaging, and when I find things it feels like more of an accomplishment, without the mini radar tipping me off.....good stuff!!!

And Grrr @ them damn Alghouls!! I still have not killed one.

Finally got my first set of witcher gear too earlier, woot!!

If enough people want it, there will definitely be a mod if nothing else, and hey Projekt Red said they would be supporting this game for two years so it's possible they add it in. It would be nice to store your old gear and trophies

Ran into the first encounter that I would say is poorly conceived. It's not really a quest, I guess, in the southern outskirts of Novigrad there was a yellow arrow, went there and it was three elves and a merchant in an argument

I'm 11 and I just went to Novigrad also. After completing the Merry Widow contract, there wasn't anything left for me to do in Velen that was near my level. I spent the last 1 1/2 hours or so playing this damn shopkeeper in Gwent. Finally got the son of a bitch lol. I hadn't played in a few days, so it felt good to load this back up.

Been using a different tactic playing gwent now that I have a couple spy cards. Assuming I draw those cards, and my deck is small enough so I am likely to, I play them both, then usually I have some low attack throwaway or, even better, draw a decoy so I can play and then call back a card. I end up with really low attack, they end up with a moderate amount, and they pass allowing me to score a low attack victory then go all out next round. I slow play a bit, get them to play something powerful, then scorch and attack. Works especially good against monster decks since you need everything you can muster against those. Winning the first round with like 21 attack allows you to go full bore in round two, I have had my attack in that round near 200.

The guy I played was pulling out 2-4 spy cards per match. It was kind of crazy. I only have a couple in my deck and I wasn't getting them consistently. 200 attack? Wow, that's pretty sick.
