    Re: The Witcher 3

I went NG+ when it was available and I've barely made it to Novigrad, taking even more time than I took originally to get there. I'm in no hurry + It's a much more difficult road for me this time. I know the story, but there's always something new that I catch.

I'll get to the two expansion packs eventually/ This game will go down in my All time Top 5 easily.. arguably #1.. It has set the bar for RPGs for me. I never could get into Fallout 4 or Dragon Age Inquisition after this game.

CD Projekt Red has definitely earned a seat at the table with RockStar, Naughty Dog, and Dice (BF) for me.. as far as developers go.

      The Witcher 3

I've been playing this game more the last week and checked how long I've been playing for and saw that I've put in almost 40 hrs into the game. I'm on the verge of hitting level 18. Im playing on the difficulty level right below the hardest difficulty level. I forget how great this game is. Looking forward to finishing the main story and then getting the expansion packs.

I echo what others have said that this is the best game I've played this gen.

Blood and Wine out on the 31st for $20, but if you pre-order/pre-load you can get it for $18. At least on Xbox.

I've already played this on PS4, but I just snagged the game and expansion pass for PC off GOG for $50. Installing as we speak. Gonna throw some visual mods on and give my new system a true test. It's handled everything I've thrown at it on ultra settings at 60+ fps, so I have high hopes.

Can't wait to dive back in.

Ahh man, I'm pretty sure it's only 20 bucks on steam right now.

The whole pack? This was the base game, HoS, and B&W.

Anyways, got it installed with an HD retexture mod, turbo lighting mod, and a bunch of quality of life mods. Still running on ultra at 60fps. This right here is why I built my PC.

Do you use a ReShade preset as well?

Nope. What would that entail? Any recommendations?

It's a post processing injector. Basically just a way to add new effects to and adjust the color palette of the game. Here's a link to the ones posted on Nexus, you can see in the screenshots how they affect the game. They do affect your performance a lot more (some more than others) than the texture overhauls though so be aware of that.

I'm using Pineapplevision (Cine Revised) and I can only manage around 45fps (@1440p) on average. I have a freesync monitor though so the gameplay is still butter smooth. That one has some nice presets. I posted some screenshots a couple of pages back.

Do they conflict with the texture overhauls? I may try to apply one tonight to see how my system handles it. If it takes too much of a hit, I can just delete it.

Nope, no conflicts with textures. Some may conflict with lighting overhauls but they will usually state it on the mod page if that's the case.
