Do we know for sure if the marksmen rifle was nerfed yet? I may switch to the gold LMG if that's the case

I understand completely. But the only reason I feel diffrent in this case because The Division is a very complicated and deep game. Much more so than I initially realized. This thread, if anything, has relieved my anxiety as I realize I am not the only one confused and trying to catch up. And the "tone" of this thread has been great. No one has been condescending or self righteous because they are level 30 and have everything figured out already. So I'm just trying to absorb as much strategy as I can so I may enjoy the game over the long haul.

If anything I feel it's the other way around, maybe I'm being sensitive but the way some people post makes me feel like I'm supposed to be ashamed that I've sunk as many hours as I have and gotten as far as I have in the game. I just have some free time right now and I love the game dearly, have since I first logged into the closed beta. The daily experience of roaming around with guys from OS is awesome to me.

There's definitely a lot going on but I'm sure everyone will get the hang of everything, just takes time and practice

Wouldn't be surprised if salvage chance was just averaged across groupmates. Diablo does/did this for some time to balance clear efficiency.

                My favorite part:

                Pancake..whatcha doing?

uhhh..fighting for my life over here is what...what you need?

                pancake...

                Yeah?

This also reminds me of Diablo. Anytime you play with anyone they don't want to wait for you to maximize your gear. In this game I don't like making people wait too long so generally I do it at the start of my gaming session.

I make my game private. Set myself invisible online. Then go in and spend like 20-40 minutes just shopping and buffing and trying to figure out the best skills, etc.

I REALLY wish they'd create an app for doing the character build-out so you can do it in the field (not shop but I mean look at various guns, damage, etc)..

Yeah he's hyper as hell, I think he must drink a ton of Mt. Dew. I would have probably already blocked him but yeah you feel bad and all. But a man can only take so much!!
Yeah, that favorite part sums it up perfectly, lol. That is exactly what it's like. It's like there's something that only allows him to talk normal after he says pancake 5 times, lol.

And no, no relation, just a kid I ran into in the Dark Zone during the beta who ended up being decent and who I teamed up with for a while one evening. And I thinks that's the only reason I haven't said screw it and blocked him yet. He's just a kid and seems to mean well most of the time, and I try not to be an ******* if I can avoid it. But yeah, I'm starting to reach that point where I may just say screw it and be done.

I agree with the maximizing of gear. Between selling loot I pick up, visiting vendors, recalibrating, I could spend entire hours just working on improving my weapons and gear and nothing else.

Hopefully we can find out. Otherwise I may need to start making changes to my weapons and some of my pro-marksman rifle gear.

Yep, we're all just trying to learn and help each other improve. I've been level 30 for over two days, and yet I still feel like my character is inferior for a level 30 character that doesn't yet have gold weapons or gear, and I'm trying to just suck up as much information as I can to try and improve it as much as possible.

Ugh, the story of my life. I spent probably 100,000 credits in 15 minutes yesterday rerolling some gear, only to end up with a better piece of gear dropping from an enemy in a side mission two hours later.

The day before that, it was 50,000 credits on recalibrating, only to get better gear in the mission I immediately left and played after I finished recalibrating.

You guys have extreme patience. I if I heard someone say Pancake that many times I would just kick and block him. Why the hell does he do that? Is it a coping mechanism?

Just reading about it annoyed me.

I really love how every ability in this game is viable, and sometimes I have to switch things up on the fly mid-mission. Of course I have my two main abilities and one main signature (though I switch back and forth between the damage buff and the resistance buff pretty often), but I'll have to branch out to adapt to current situations pretty regularly. As I said before, and as TrustedDegree said, tha flashbang sticky bomb can really come in handy. I still feel Smart Cover is a great ability that probably doesn't get its due credit. With my skill power the Smart Cover bonuses are almost like mini-signature skill level bonuses and can be kept up almost non stop, provided you can take cover for a split second.

Being left to my own devices in the BOO I crafted another ACP and this one has IMO much better talents.

Deadly: Critical hit damage is increased in by 26%

Meticulous: Killing a target has 23% chance to instantly refill the mag

Self-Preserved: critical hits with thiC weapon heal the user for 3% of the damage dealt!!!
