Yup... Cause a short game single player game with no multiplayer in 2015 is sounds like a lot of fun. Yea, and Old games were fun and multiplayer wasn't a big part of gaming a decade or 2 ago. Metal gear solid was always single player game with a good length to the story and at least they're giving people multiplayer in 2015. 1886 was a game I wanted to buy, but many are disappointed with this game and that's undeniable.

Edit: The things people say to justify their purchases. If you feels it's ok to spend $60 on a short game that's half cinematic videos with no multiplayer in 2015, that's your money and choice, but don't try to make it seem like others don't have the right to question these Devs or critique the game on nonsense like this.

I don't. I'm going to enjoy the game no matter what anyone says or does. I've been anticipating it for over a year. Whether it's 5 hours or 15, it doesn't bother me what someone thinks of that.

That being said, the lengths some guys are going is because the opposing side went through lengths to knock the game and its game time. No one came in here or the internet first by saying, "This game is great and long enough!"

The "attack" was on the other side, so naturally people are going to defend their decision as others laugh at them. Have you seen the comments on the internet?

None at all and maybe if you actually read my post you'd see that I don't care one bit what you spend your money on, but don't try to criticize people because they don't agree with the direction this developer took for this game. If people feel that this game should've had multiplayer since the single player is really short in a game released in 2015 that's their choice. If you don't like it it's simple just ignore it or at least offer something constructive...

I won't lie it kind of bothered me because I had high expectations for this game and would like to try it. Being that it's a third person shooter and the graphics look amazing I was expecting more. After reading on Gaf that the game was short and almost half was cinematic non gameplay I was bothered. After that I felt like it won't have much replay ability. That's just me though. I hope you enjoy the game and I can't wait to hear people's impressions on the game.

But you're one of the smart ones so your reasoning is valid. You're concerned about the length and don't want to risk spending the money. That's fair.

I'll be sure to share my thoughts on the game, as well as the game time.

I personally don't mind length because I buy and sell immediately. I imagine I'll be done with the game in two or so weeks and can sell it for $30-40. With GCU, I'm buying it for $50. So it's no biggie for me.

I haven't bought a game with cash in two years thanks to GCU. It's a beautiful thing.

Speaking of, I really need to look into GCU. Especially with all these upcoming releases.

I disagree with the sentiment that every game needs to have multi-player. Especially some stuff that's tacked on just so they can say it on the back of the box.

Actually, no. Check my post history. I said the reason I won't be purchasing at launch is because the gameplay itself looks like nothing special. Will buy eventually when it hits $40 combined with my GCU discount. Never once did I try to persuade anyone from not buying the game.

I hope all who do buy have fun with the game. Looking forward to OS impressions.

Of course I expect nothing less than smart *** comments from you. This game is receiving The Show treatment around here. And that fits right into your wheelhouse.

Yeah I would prefer more than 10 hours, but I compare it to a movie. A movie ticket is $10-12 for 2 hours of entertainment. So that same $5-$6 rate would require a minimum of 10 hours of main story mode. Given total price though I do expect a little more. Short 10-15 hour games I'm likely to just rent or wait until the price has cut in half.

Kind of a disingenuous argument though because I'm not sure anyone's really making that strawman you're tearing down. Though it's funny people say stuff like this while propping up the single player so high, since the same developer would be creating both. Why do you think they wouldn't create an equally as amazing multiplayer? Or co-op? Or the other things people might want that could add value... but instead it's automatically a good thing that they weren't included and assumed they would be awful and detract from the game? Do you guys realize that's kinda damning the developer as much as you're praising them for their approach to single player?

Either way, there's relatively no opposition to the echo chamber of positivity by those purchasing this game no matter what anyone else is posting, myself and others have said that we hope you enjoy the game and for different reasons (not just length) aren't purchasing the game.

I look forward to the media embargo dropping tomorrow to help the narrative change a bit to the actual quality and value of the game and your reviews as you play/complete the game.

I love single player games but I feel like they need to be worth it.

If I feel as though its half effort then if I want it, Ill pay half price.

If I dont feel its worth it at all, I won't buy it at all.

There is really no need to argue or cry for more online stuff.. is it worth it to you, in the end that's all that matters.

Anyone complaining about length can put this game on the hardest difficulty and see how long it takes them. I'm sure before they finish it they'll be saying the game is too hard/repetitive/long/etc. I personally will play it multiple times and enjoy the game because I'm confident the story will be amazing.

Right. Your positivity is much more founded in reality than people's reaction to previous reports of boring gameplay and short length from those that actually played it. We should buy the game and play it the way you say because you are "confident."
