After smooth sailing last night I've had to crashes this morning. One on the initial load after the NMS splash screen. One while trying to reload a save from the options page because I got stuck in a cave I couldn't jet pack out of.

This. I'm a big Sean Murray fan, but he's always been so shrouded in mystery in his comments....it's never clear. I truly think they didn't totally know what they were exactly doing, and obviously things tend to pivot during development. Just hard to pivot when they were doing so much press over the past year.

Still would enjoy this and hope Xbox One version happens after a bit of exclusivity...

You earn credits for uploading discoveries (star systems, planets, locations, and life forms). Have you done that with everything you've discovered yet?

Regarding online play, it's kind of iffy because the pause screen actually pauses your game. What if two people are at the same place and even both see somebody attacking you, and one person presses pause. Does the other person watch as everything freezes mid-action?

I said this just a couple of weeks ago:

I'd love for a YouTube video to come out a week after release where thousands of people are hanging out on one part of one planet... if at all possible, that is.
I hope that it is something they truly are attacking and trying to make happen. A very rare improbability is still better than an impossibility. There is something about sharing this universe with others that is absolutely beautiful and mind-numbing. I think I'll go bonkers the first time I find an already discovered planet or star-system, but the fact that Sean might have lied and furthermore underestimated the fact that people would try to do this is somewhat ridiculous, in 24 hours no less (no pun intended).

Now, how do I contact him about Remote Play rear touch pad control scheme alterations?

Also, separately, I'm kinda tired of devs saying they're "shocked" at the number of people playing....I get that game networking is hard, but if Hello Games didn't have a clue they were selling a bunch of copies then I just shake my head.

I'll be interested to learn why the people couldn't see each other...if it's a bug or something else....cause they were supposed to I believe.

Just incase you guys are like me and didnt realise this, you can use Signal Beacons over and over again to find monoliths, outposts, shelters and the other one, as long as you keep building the blue chip.

I wonder how big this universe really is?

Space is supposedly never ending, did they match that? I tried travelling towards teh bright yellow dot in galaxy mode and i never seeemed to get closer.

This brings me back to Fermi's paradox, if we were able to find each other in this game in the first 24hrs, why have aliens not found us in real life?

Unless they already have... or this games scale pales in comparison to real life space.

Hmmm that's weird. For me it said "grave" literally. That's where I died and all I had to do was drive through that marker and it gave me all my stuff back.

How do you get those spots to "save" as places of interest? Like I once said, I used a signal beacon for a manufacturing facility, got there, tried to busy open the door, got attacked by sentinels, fled the area, did some other stuff, then when I wanted to go back I didn't know its location anymore.

Even if I used a signal beacon to find it again, sure I'd have to build another blue chip, not that big of a cost... but I can't even guarantee they'll find me the same manufacturing facility again. It peeves me that I can't seem to relocate this place.

                            Aliens probably don't have:

                            1) A universal online system.

                            1a) Reddit.

                            1b) Mobile access.

                            2) Hyperdrive

Also, if Sean Murray created these aliens, they're probably all on Earth right now and we just can't see them.

I name the my checkpoints after the building I find. So if there was a alien or signal beacon I'll label that.

Also if you are in space looking at the planet you should be able to scan and it should show you discovered places.

So far, when I go back out to space it only shows me the first outpost I found on the planet, even after a scan... but I have discovered at least eight locations there so far (on top of it has been a manufacturing facility, a space station or whatever you call it, and a lot of question mark places -- some underwater).
