I'm in the satisfied customer camp, but Sean's response is a bit amusing.

It feels like he's saying it's in the game while they are furiously trying to cobble a feature together for a patch.

As far as the crazy money collecting thing, the planet I am on right now has mountains and mountains of gold to mine. If I spent around an hour or two mining and selling at the trade thing, I will have well over 2M

Me personally: good, but too soon to tell how much staying power it will have. I'm really enjoying it at the moment though.

Regarding finding other players, based on the information available since it's initial announcement - this has not been the focus, everyone should have expected a single player game going in. If you didn't know that going in and are disappointed, you have created that disappointment for yourself. 1) it's not even remotely the direction/core concept of the game and 2) even if it's functioning and working well the odds were so remote that it's silly to be disappointed, it's like being upset you didn't win the 1/10000000 chance in the lottery.

You're not kidding!!!

Right now I am a mining maven building my stack of currency. Discovering monoliths, mining for rare resources, building a solid relationship with The Gek and trying to become a really good trader early on.

The game is enormous. Early impressions coming a little later. Went to bed at 3am and need to get into the office to do some work...then an early leave to get back to my home system (The Barchetta System)

Right now I am in The Syrinx System farting around, but I found an amazing planet Syrinx LV 2112 where I can mine copper to my hearts content.

Also Cygnus X-1 in my home system is flush with Aluminum and Gold.

Damn this game is freaking cool.

After I mined around 1000 units of gold and on my way to a neighboring moon that had a galactic trade module, I was attacked by a group of pirates. First time I have been in any warfare in space. First it scared the crap out of me, but I managed to destroy two of their ships and outran the other two.

I've been attacked 3 separate times so far by pirates, and I've died all 3 times. I've also been attacked by sentinels over 15 times, but I always kill them. If you die when a pirate is attacking you respawn at the nearest space station.

You can then go back to where you died and pick up your stuff, they don't actually take it which is pretty nice.

This game is so different from anything I've played, played for like 6 straight hours last night. Loads of fun but it's not something I see myself playing long term.

I've built a solid relationship with the Gek so far. Got lucky with the dialog choice on my first encounter and gained status with them. Learned some words through monoliths. Made the right choice in another dialog with one and he(?) taught me 4 more words on the spot.

One thing that bugs me hardcore with the inventory, I can stack 500 plutonium on my ship but this one bead or ceremonial dagger or manufactured chip etc. takes up a whole slot?

Agree, we should be able to stack things like the Gek "whatevers".

He didn't lie. He's saying it doesn't work right now.

It's vague but I'm not going to point my fingers just yet. Thus far he's done nothing but come through, even if a small step at a time.

I doubt this will just hang in the air with no resolution.
