Have not noticed that particular issue yet, but I did notice earlier that one of supply line connected settlements has far less in the junk folder than I do at Sanctuary. I use Sanctuary as my mine base, where I drop stuff but shouldn't the other places show the same stuff?? I'm cornfused!

Nope. Only the junk you put in that particular workshop will show in that settlement. Resources are still shared when you build though.

I thought it was a pretty cool idea and was excited when I saw all the options, but the actual building is just a pain. Just building something basic with walls/floor/ceiling is a pain because nothing lines up right.

Settlements is really where a more in-depth phone app or a web app would have been awesome. Being able to manage inventory, resources, build buildings, etc would have been so much easier. I'm sure there'll be a PC mod to that effect, but it's shame we'll never see it on consoles.

**** em, if they need some guy 3 weeks into the wasteland to come running every time something happens, then they deserve their fate. I'm not going to babysit a bunch of settlements that give me nothing but trouble anyway.

If they had made the building tools usable, made settlements worth a damn, made them not require perks for 90% of their worth, maybe I could be bothered. For something that requires me to throw hours of frustration trying to get something created, what I get in return is trash.

My settlements got attacked a few times tonight. Got a really good legendary rifle out of one of the attacks. Can't wait to try it out and mod it tomorrow.

Settlements pretty much give you the opposite of nothing and once you get used to the building tools they are fine. Stuff snaps together pretty easily if you do it right. They are a pretty decent cap source when you consider the daily income plus selling stuff to your vendors. You can just use the prefab stuff until you get used to it. That's what I did.

After building lots i learned a couple of things. First off you must build the floors of your building first, if not your walls will not line up.

Second off, if building a second floor be sure to use 2 important items. One is you cant use another regular floor or else there will be a slight gap between your floors. You need to cycle through until you get something called like, "multi story floor" or something similiar. You know it be the right one if when it snaps theres no gap.

Third important tip will be to build the stairs with the floor attached to the bottom and top of it. This allows you to have perfectly spaced floors and allows the gaps to be nonexistent.

Forth tip is when you need to power a house, under the power options theres a object thats like a conduit. Just connect it to the outside and connect a wire to it from the generator and everything in that area should have power. Remember that only that area of the house will have power so if the house is large or multiple story you will need multiple conduits connected together around the outside of the house to spread the power around.

I spent way too long when I first started building being frustrated until learning these tips. Now building isnt as much as a hassel.

Does anyone know what happens if you fail to go help out one of your settlements that get attacked? I was too busy exploring an area and forgot that one of my settlements was under attack.

From personal experience when I missed one, I showed up afterward and some of my gun turrets were damaged and not functioning. I had to fix those but not sure if there was anything else, like dead settlers or other kinds of damage. Plus you miss out on the XP for helping defend.

Does anyone know exactly what the Scavenging station (forget the exact name) does for a settlement? I used one awhile back from the workshop, assigned a settler to it but haven't really noticed any benefit to it. I could be missing something, I don't know.

The only time my settlements get attacked is when I'm in the middle of something and can't stop what I'm doing to defend it. Frustrating.

The artillery needs to fire quicker. By the time it hit the target I marked the line of ghouls attacking my settlement was well past the target.

As someone who just went through building his first settlement from scratch this weekend, this is great information Candy, also, the flooring that you'll be looking for is shack upper floor.
