Oh ok I didn't know if I would need to cancel my order and replace it but then I would lose that save 25 thing. I have never really gotten the preorder save 10 thing from bestbuy before because not a lot of games get the 10 thing.

There were 15 games in the program in 2016 and at least 20 games in the program for 2015. This year, thus far, they are up to 11 games. Granted, it's the lowest amount of games but publishers have to agree to be part of the program which is why Super Mario Odyssey is a total and complete shock. Also, the first game on the list for this year is Madden so almost eight full months in before we get the first game. On the positive side, 1 of those 11 games is 2018's Far Cry 5 so that gives me hope that there will be more games added to the program that will see an early 2018 release.

So right now is a good time to sign up I guess. I have Amazon prime and I think all new games are 20% off

So with BB I get the 20% and I'm gonna end up buying 5 games off that list so....... I guess I'll pretty much get a free game with $50 in certificates correct?

Just making sure I'm reading the program right.

Just making sure I'm reading the program right.

You'll get 500 points ($10) 15 days after you pick up/receive the game added to your "my best buy" account. Make sure that you're logged in when purchasing so the transaction is being credited to that account. I only get $20 reward certs because that's what I have it setup as. You can choose $5, $10 or $20. They do have a two month expiration date so if you get 500 points and have it set to a $10 reward cert and it gets issued to you on September 1st for example, you'll have to around November 1st to use it. If it expires, you lose it.

Hope this makes sense.

Just keep in mind though you have to be Best Buy Elite to choose at what dollar amount to receive your certificates. I think otherwise it defaults to $5

Pretty much and Best Buy games are for all new games, not just released in the first two weeks. Game can be on sale 3 months later for $30 and still get 20% off.

Pretty sure you don't. I'm elite now due to buying PS4 Pro and a 4KTV last year but I have had reward certs setup as $20 since at least 2013, maybe earlier when they had that magazine and coupons every month before they changed it to what it currently is.

You don't have to be Elite to pick the dollar amount of the certificates that auto redeem, but you do have to be Elite to be able to "bank" points to where they don't redeem certificates until you choose to.

Oh ok, thanks for the clarification, I knew it was something like that. I'm Elite and have been for so long I cannot even recall what it is like to be a common Best Buy person.

Not to mention the points you get for purchases there for whatever else you buy. I buy all my coffee for my keurig machine from Best Buy, the points add up fast not to mention My rewards members get 15% off all k-cup pods as a perk! Need all that coffee for the late night gaming!
