Yeah I'm curious to see what the console guys think of it. I'm also curious whether they'll make turn timers an option after all the negative feedback (even though, as they exist on the PC, removing them would destroy the balance of the game imo).

I'm getting it eventually (on sale), just got Deus Ex and that'll take me a while, along with other games in my backlog.
I may wait for a digital sale and just get it that way, it's a game I could see wanting to keep.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

re: XCOM 2 (PC/PS4/XB1)
I'm going to pick this up on console as well. The game actually crashes more on my PC after the patches they released. Man, they were really sloppy with the handling of graphics memory on this one. Tons of stability issues have been reported. I knew what I signed up for with not having a great graphics card, but if you go and read what people are reporting, even people with good graphics cards report problems. It seems so random. I can still play the game, but it's walking on eggshells - especially when navigating around the base. It crashes almost every time I'm between missions tinkering around.
Don't really have a problem dropping more money on this game because it's that good. Does anyone know will they be releasing DLC as part of the base game on consoles? Or will they be available separately? One of the DLCs is a huge change that involves alien kings that are super powerful, get an extra move per turn, and must be killed over multiple missions. The flip side is that you get a lot more powerful weapons early. Never got the DLC on PC since I was having so many problems.
EDIT: Found the answer to the DLC question. They will be available separately or as part of a Digital Deluxe edition priced at $74.99.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 09-07-2016, 11:26 AM.Comment

re: XCOM 2 (PC/PS4/XB1)
I have played Enemy Unknown and Enemy Within on both PC and PS4. Those games were both excellent but I must say Xcom2 Is far superior to those titles! The soldier customization in Xcom 2 is deeper compared to the others, and the whole flow of the game is better IMO. There are timed missions(limited turns to get to objective) that a lot of people don't like but I don't mind them, you can get through them in the allotted turns. I have logged almost 350 hours into it and I don't see that coming to a halt anytime soon. Just be prepared to get your *** handed to you, especially the DLC with the alien Kings! The game is challenging on it's own, but the alien kings will leave you crying for your mama!Last edited by CubFan23; 09-07-2016, 04:32 PM.Playstation Network:That70s_Gamer

Check out Mr.Odd a you-tuber who plays this game on the hardest difficulty and makes it look easy. He has a ton of videos from all 3 Xcom games on his channel. This video is one with the limited number of turns.

I don't have the discipline to be that good, lol. I try to be, but then I somehow pop 2 pods and go into "oh ****" mode.
Also, I hope they have the character pool on console. That was a fantastic addition.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 09-07-2016, 04:52 PM.Comment

They are really good. Very challenging, soldier dies he's gone for good. Hurts when you lose a high ranking one with a lot of perks! Once you've played Xcom2 it might be hard to go back with all the new customization and new classes available for your soldiers. You'll get a good feel for the how the game plays. You have to think out your moves and decide which soldiers your taking on each mission, assault, heavy, sniper & support. You can't just charge at the enemy, you actually have to maneuver them into good positions being sure you've got your flanks covered and are in cover. The only downside in Enemy Unknown and Enemy Within is the maps, there are only a limited number of them and they can get repetitive. But overall they are worth every penny, which I'm sure you can get them at a pretty good price for console.
After playing them on console I grabbed them off steam last year for around $10 for both with all dlc. Just checked and that bundle is at $49.99 now.Playstation Network:That70s_Gamer

re: XCOM 2 (PC/PS4/XB1)
Still making those silly mistakes after 100 hours.
Dashed to a bad place and popped a pod before I was ready. Realized I wouldn't be able to get the objective in time. Spent 2 minutes figuring out where I should put the evac to get everyone out safely - most importantly the guy with 4 life left. When I go to put the evac down, I put it one square off despite the planning and got the guy killed anyway. Sometimes I wonder what the hell I'm thinking when I play this game.Comment
