I played the closed beta a lot and while I had fun with it, it got old pretty quickly. Perhaps if I was playing with friends instead of randoms it would have helped. I felt for a game that has to be all about control, the game felt a bit sloppy.

This was one of my most anticipated games of the year but it has gone from must buy to maybe rental for me. Too bad because I love the idea.

Played a bit of the open beta and it's just not a game for me. Looks great, but the controls just feel off for me. Understand its limited since its a beta, but it got really old, really fast for me.

After playing the alpha and both betas, I feel like I've really hit the wall with the game. It's a fun idea, but it's a very limited experience.

I love the customizable options and being able to win a long dual, but it really comes down to how long can I be entertained.

Plus with Horizon, Wildlands, MLB, the plate is kinda full.

Maybe once it hits $30 ish

Didn't played the closed beta and just started the open this afternoon, played for maybe an hour. It's a fun game but yikes, the servers have been pretty bad. Almost every other game has DC'd for me. The games I'm in run great but usually right after I die the first time it just errors out to the main menu. Kind of scary considering the game actually comes out next week. Would definitely consider the full version but will wait a day or two to see how the servers are.

I'll keep at it most of the weekend and see if I get sick of it but the servers have been pretty frustrating for me. If it was even 2 or 3 weeks before launch I wouldn't worry about it all that much but I have pretty solid internet and am dropping every other game. Not a whole lot of time to straighten things out.

EDIT: I think an update just posted on PS4 at least so maybe it'll get a little better.

I didn't think this game would be from me when I watched people play it. I downloaded the beta on PC and decided I'd give it a go. I will say that I haven't had so much fun with a beta in a long time. The 4v4 and 4vAI seem fresh and different. The game just plays way more fun that it looks.

My concern is that it doesn't seem to have a lot to offer though. The modes are limited, and the game follows the typical Ubi/R6 formula of riddled with Renown Micro-transactions. I don't think this is a bad thing as earning renown doesn't seem hard in the beta, but I wonder if it's accelerated so people can get a taste of some of the unlocks quicker.

I love the feel of combat. Each duel feels like a big Dark Souls Boss fight. I like the idea of a campaign, but without seeing what that offers and with the limited maps and modes I don't think I can drop a full amount of cash on this game. I will wait for a price drop. To me it feels like if it was a $29.99 title or $34.99 even I'd be more comfortable with what it offers, even if I have a blast with it.

I'm with you, although I like the game a lot I'm going to wait as I know I won't be able to play online really, everyone will just beat my *** so I will just want to play the single player campaign. Holding our for a $39 for me..

It sort of has already. They had pre order deals here in Canada at $50 which is $30 less than the normal $80 over here. EB Games offered a trade two games and get this free deal (still good through the 14th). Normally you would have to trade at least 3 games to get a new release free.

I have this ordered and am definitely picking it up. I do agree about long term replay ability since I don't know how this will hold up but I'm still having fun. I really like the 4v4 death match they added for this beta. The Dominion 4v4 is fun but ultimately I care less about capturing zones and just fighting. The epic feel of those battles is cool but Dominion leads to too many 2 on 1s. The offline campaign is a nice bonus. Hopefully it's good but that isn't impacting my decision.

This is a game I can have a lot of fun playing 1-2 hours at a time. I love the strategy of fighting and how defence matters. For me the controls are great. I prefer the commands to be slower so the fighting is more strategic and not a high powered button masher. You can tell who knows what they are doing out there and who doesn't.

I am very concerned about the servers though. I swear the alpha was more stable than both of these two betas. Match making fails and sometimes it crashes or bugs out in the middle of matches. I hope retail is better but it's a big concern for me.

Long time, no post.

After about 20 Hours of Beta playtime, I am all the way in on this game.

The combat system is fresh and well developed. Each battle is like a chess match, and I love how intuitive they made the defensive system where you can fend off more than one enemy at a time if need be.

There are some flaws. Hit detection is wonky at times, but I am assuming little things like this will be cleaned up. Also, the guard break timing window needs fixed in respect to blocking someone from doing it. Right now, it feels like a very small window and towards the end I saw a lot of people spamming this.

This game also seems like a perfect candidate for a Capture the Flag and King of the Hill mode. Maybe even a 8 man free for all where a point needs to be controlled. If Ubi plays this right, I could see this having a lot of sustainability. Hope they continue to explore things like this as the game progresses, but with a full campaign and 5-6 online game modes this will hold my interest for some time.
