Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
It's never even crossed my mind to surrender.
A friend of mine was telling telling me a good way to get really good pelts is to just Lasso the animal and then kill them. I never considered that.Last edited by AUChase; 11-01-2018, 08:42 AM.Comment

Red Dead Redemption 2
I think I am going to wait for PC. I have never been into the tedium of eating/maintenance in games and I always use fast travel.
Sounds like way too much busy work for me, hopefully the PC can mod some of that out or the devs add a mode where I don’t need to cook and eat and clean a friggin horse.

What happens if you surrender? Is there just jail time and pay what the bond would be?

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
You really don't have to take care of all that if you don't want to. Your horse will get clean over time as you ride through water or when it rains. Managing your weight just gives you a few small advantages, but nothing detrimental.
If you don't want to take care of all of that you can avoid it and be fine. You don't ever have to craft or cook if you don't want to. It provides its own pros to doing it, but is not needed if you are not into it.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Last night I did the LeMoyne mission where...
Spoiler...you have to find and kill the lion.
I had a feeling they were building up to the lion being an actual lion after the dog and cougar.

Yeah, I pretty much just do missions and don't really see any negative effects. I'll run over a rabbit or kill a deer if I see one of the way to a mission but I'm pretty much always going somewhere with a purpose. Same thing with eating, if I'll grab some stew when I'm at camp or eat a carrot if I walk by one but I really don't pay attention to that stuff. I don't bother at all with crafting stuff like satchel's or outfits, putting up decorations around camp, bathing, etc. If I eventually get to a point in the game where I have to do that stuff, then i will, but I mainly just go from one mission to another. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

With all this talk of time put into the game, has anyone found the time-played stat in the game?"You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Unfortunately I haven’t. My Xbox time is way off too because I have a habit of pausing the game and doing things around the house for a bit. I wish there was an in game timer that shut off when the game is paused.Comment

Exactly opposite of what I do but that's what's great about this game

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Yep. There's a reason and purpose to doing the side things if you want which helps with immersion, but they are not significant enough to where those that avoid them are at any major disadvantage. That's the great balance Rockstar achieved.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”
