Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
I lost my preorder War Horse (Gun Smoke) getting jumped by some O'Driscolls. I was never able to find him. I eventually just bought another Andrees (or whatever the breed name) and started over. It sucked. But after a while it began to feel about the same. Only difference is the color. He's also classified as War, so I don't know. Difference is the pro order one was free, I paid for the second one. It looks and handles the same just with the color difference like I said.Comment

Red Dead Redemption 2
The game has become a far more enjoyable experience after scrapping my initial save. At the point I was previously (early chapter 2), except this time around the controls and game mechanics feel nowhere as cumbersome.
Anyone happen to stumble upon the random encounter involving the man and woman inviting you inside for a meal? LOL, classic Rockstar games.Comment

Yes, and the vibe I had was the same as that old couple from the Book of Eli. I got as far as seated at the table, but was so unsettled that I decided to get the heck out of Dodge.NCAA FB 2003 - 2014 Dynasties

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Went back up into the snowy mountains just because, and I ended up spending like four days/nights up there. This game is huge. Didn't find much except for hunting things (there was one task I did but to no benefits or anything), though I did run into one thing that I was looking for which was nice. What was really cool was if you let carcasses lie in the thick snow, over the course of time they get buried from snowfall. I know this because you can still pick them out of the ground after that amount of time.
I know I just said this, but this map is massive. I'm trying hard to not explore too many areas where the game doesn't naturally take me, so like for instance I'm avoiding St. Denis until I have to go there and such... though I did follow two lawmen taking a prisoner for a while until I found a town on the southwest portion of New Hanover, and I can't wait to go there again.
Still only 11 missions completed, but 30.1% done with the game. I'm going to start doing some missions again to see what the game wants me to progress through at these points, if that makes sense. I'm probably overstaying my welcome and they're going to show me tutorials on like how to hunt or greet citizens or something.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Going back into the mountains was amazing though, and you get a great sense of how big an area it is that you didn't understand during Chapter I. The game just keeps outdoing itself though. When the player thinks the world can't possible give them more, it blows its own benchmark out of the water.Comment

This game... lol. I had to purposely fail this mission a few times at different checkpoints to get it to work.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Got the idea from Reddit, mirrored the app to the 2nd TV to have the map up while I played, I preferred it over having to stop and pull up the map and set waypoints and whatnot. I did keep the small map on the game to help show the random encounters.IMG951058.jpgComment

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Played till 2 am last night. Game has outdone itself. The Lenny mission is pure gold. Just so different and off the formula.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Has anyone here bought the official strategy guide? If so, is there an Atlas for the regions that tells you what's in each region? How many Heists, Gang Hideouts, Side Quests, etc. Best example and comparison would be the AC Origins guide. Thanks.Comment

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Yes, I picked up the strategy guide and it is very handy. But I dont really see where it lists hideouts sidemissions and such. The atlas itself is almost 40 pages so its possible I've overlooked them.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Side quests are also shown. It's very informative. Even gives you a map of where you can find each kind of animal.
