So much of this blasphemous talk against the Witcher. I need to speak to a manager about these outrageous takes.

Hahaha, I'm just a picky ***** when it comes to open worlds. Witcher is GOAT, I saw the appeal with Horizon but it didn't stick, enjoyed Ghost but it was too long, Odyssey was trash, Days Gone was better than I thought, FFXV was boring, and God of War was phenomenal.

What does that mean? I have no idea. I just like what I like and don't spend time on things that don't grab me. I am intrigued to run Ghost again after the feature drop and if I get a PS5 and they add more prettiness.

Then again, Cyberpunk is a few weeks away (finally!).

He isn't wrong about AC, though. Sometimes you have to forget or ignore those blatant bad design choices to enjoy the game.

Horizon's open world was a lot more interactive since you had robotic dinosaurs and human enemies roaming around. Not to mention the gameplay and various tools and strategies you can come up with were seemingly endless. I don't get the same feelings when I play Ghost.

I wonder why Sony hasn't talked about this game on the PS5. I wanna know if there's gonna be an update to the game and if its gonna look and play better on it.

Sucker Punch did say it's playable on PS5 via backwards compatibility and will feature "up to 60 FPS."

              You can also transfer saves.

I think the way they specified up to makes me wonder a bit about how it's going to perform, but it may just be them saving their own tail.

being able to transfer saves in this game is huge with how long it took me to finish it. I want to be able to immediately jump into new game + on my 2nd play through that way I can skip all the side stuff this go around.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima (PS4 Exclusive)

I have cleared out the first island and am just about to start the story of Act II.

I have a hard time feeling like this is anything other than a slightly worse AC clone. The combat is slightly more interesting than recent AC games with the different stances, but you are pretty OP once you get upgraded gear, charms, and armor.

The story is alright so far, it makes me want to continue just enough that I'll definitely finish the game. It also seems like it'll be super easy to platinum, so I might actually end up doing that because I have actually somehow never earned a platinum trophy. Mostly because I don't really do online multiplayer.

Side stories attempt to be compelling, but are just your average (run here and kill these people - and cutscene) side missions. I mean I get it, but The Witcher spoiled side quests for every other game so much, it's ridiculous.

The world looks really good, but something just seems 'missing' that I can't put my finger on. I don't expect bustling towns on a tiny group of islands off Japan, but it's weird how you can come across a settlement as you're exploring that is totally empty. Then later it's magically a Mongol outpost. And finally after you clear it, people appear from thin air.

I think you have to bump up the difficulty after Act 1. By the end of Act 1 you have no fear of dying unless someone just raced through the main story stuff and didn’t upgrade. The game’s difficulty doesn’t scale well. That said the enemies in Act II are tougher and the boss duels are done well and fun.

I got the platinum too. You have to find a lot of extra things but you can use the wind for that. Good luck!

As someone who typically plays on easy I remember bumping up the difficulty after I got on Act 2.

I am liking the story missions of Act II. I am coming up to the end of that. The side story arc with the old lady from your home village stands out as the best side story so far for me.

I just got through Act 2 and the end of Act 2 through the beginning g of Act 3 I thought was very powerfully written. Really got me stoked for Act 3 because I was getting tired of doing all the side missions as there was almost too much as it seemed repetitive to me.

I always enjoy taking down the Mongolian camps though.

Exactly how I feel about the side missions at this point. They could have cut between a quarter and half of the character missions and most of the random ones. It’s not like you were ever hurting for charms. I even have some duplicates. I am at the same exact spot in the main story as you.

That’s easy! It’s WAY better. The combat is a lot more fun than W3.

New Game + does not give you any Supplies from your old save. You keep your armour and upgrades although there are some new upgrades for your gear. But I have no arrows or bombs. I feel naked!

My son was playing the new coop stuff and said it’s really fun. I will try and play it tomorrow.
