Re: Battlefield V
BFV's decision to postpone may severely hurt the game and the franchise.
We've not seen any of the BR game and COD BO is incredibly fun, paced-well and got a lot of good reviews. I imagine on launch it should be optimized well.
Meanwhile, BFV just seems behind on everything. The BETA was riddled with bugs, they are STILL changing key gameplay designs (which, while I'm glad they are listening to feedback, is BAFFLING at this stage of the game), they haven't shown the BR mode and the gun mechanics, which were woeful in BF1, have not been improved as there will be a lack of weapons with the WWII setting and the "upgrade" system is just...well...terrible. I fear the core multiplayer (non-BR modes) of BFV may not have replay-ability and will get stale.
BF3 was game changing, marketing and gameplay...the DLC maps were absolutely incredible. BF4 took some hits early but finished as one of the absolute best FPS games on the market, at least in terms of gun mechanics and having variety. BF1 had an incredible marketing campaign and sold a ton of copies but failed on lasting gameplay. BFV has failed in marketing and now I'm feeling like it's failing on gameplay too.
It sounds like a glass half-empty approach but I was looking forward to this game and the more I watch, read, and hear...the more I feel like it's not going to be the game that brings me back to Battlefield like old times.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

In years past a lot of people on OS were hyped about the game and you play with them for a few weeks to months and then they quit playing. So if people were going to get hyped they would likely quit playing regardless of how good the game is in comparison to past BF experiences. It even happened on OS with Battlefield 3 and our clan here. We had an amazing group of guys playing and even that died out fast. That's why I don't really try to reach out to anyone on here to play anymore other than Boltman and Rez.
Battlefield wouldn't be nearly as fun without them or the clan we play in. You really need people to play with.Last edited by AUChase; 11-01-2018, 03:35 PM.Comment

Re: Battlefield V
I agree this is the the type of trailer they should've released at the start. Of all the trailers this has the WWII feel to it that the other trailers were lacking in my opinion. I'm alot more excited for the game."If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

Re: Battlefield V
EA access 10 hour trial this Friday the 9th. We will see if playing the full game will change my mind. I may take the day off and do 10 hours straight of conquest or maybe 8 hours conquest and 2 hours single player just to check it out. These games drop in price fast so unless I'm blown away RDR2 will keep me busy until this goes on sale.Comment

You get 10% off with ea access so maybe you can justify buying it at $53?Comment
