I'm guessing at the end of the trailer, that's the BR game mode. The ring of fire.

Excluding the end, was the Gamescom trailer from the single player stories?

DICE's marketing department has done a terrible job with BFV.

            Terrible.

If it weren't the gameplay I've seen of streamers of the alpha, I wouldn't want this game at all. The devs have touted the beta that will be shown at Gamescon is amazing...it better be.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Considering all the games they make have been amazing, I'll give them a pass.

Pre-orders for the game have been weak. Not surprising considering how they've handled things with the fans. https://mp1st.com/news/report-battle...have-been-weak

I'm not purchasing it, I have bf1 premium, and I got to be honest, from what I've seen not really impressed. I'm more impressed with red dead redemption 2, than anything. I'm definitely not going cod, I have the b.c ww2 . At the end of the day outside of some new guns and being able to shoot from your back it just like another point aim and shoot type of game. Hope those that get it enjoy it. Spiderman looks awesome that's innovative to me.

Yeah I'm passing on the game as well. I love the WWII era but this game to me just feels off. It's basically there version of WWII which I have no interest in. Plus with Red Dead Redemption 2 coming that's where I'll be spending most my time anyway. I listened to Dice's advice to either accept it or not buy it so I went with the latter & sounds like alot of others did as well.

                      Re: Battlefield V

I'm not worried about the theme of the game...I'm more so concerned and interested in how the gameplay is. I'm not as concerned about the royale game mode although BFV could really make its own mark on the genre...I'm interested in how the beta plays out compared to the alpha with a likelihood of new weapons and a new map to play on.

I'm hopeful it will be a lot more like BF4 than BF1 in terms of gameplay, TTK, vehicle warfare, etc...I mean, for heaven's sake they finally riverted back to the old Conquest system! With so many games wanting competitive ranking systems and such, I want BF to stay with the sandbox theme that was BF3, BF4, even Hardline that is fun regardless of skill level.

As much as I want to be hopeful and get this, BF1 wasn't great at all and I shelved it after about 3 months. I keep longing for a return to the BF3/4 days, but I think thats a pipe dream.

I'm actually glad I have no interest in Battlefield or COD this year. This fall is stacked for games. Spider-Man, NBA 2K, Assassin's Creed, Red Dead Redemption 2, Just Cause 4, The Walking Dead, maybe Hitman 2. I'm still on the fence about Fallout 76.
