The pistol is really over powered in this game. No wonder everyone is running around with the pistol as their main weapon. I lost a one on one to it and I had a machine gun and he was 30 yards away, lol.

Kind of agree, this set of maps, as a group, is one of the bleakest set ever on a BF game, to me. Even BF1 had a better set of default maps as a whole.

          Random thoughts ...

Still, would love for enemies to be seen better at dark places, as well as the game promoting less being camping, one thing is to be conservative, or to make suppression, another is to have many people be on dark places with chest flat on earth to just get kills, on places not even related to taking or securing flags.

Given how much this game highlights the importance of resupplying ammo and health, these tasks should result on more points being granted to those classes due to performing this, at least IMHO.

While every BF suffers from bugs at the begining, we need some bugs to be fixed, like not letting me join squad teammates unless they invite me, not letting us change teams, specially if one joined friends and they are on the other team with room to change, etc.

On another note, disabling both auto aim aids is like really, really hard to get used to, at first was getting 30 kills and such, now after disabling it am getting no more than 19 and am dying more, worst stats ever ... also am seeing more people with the aim software and special unofficial controllers that boost accuracy, seems like we have gotten back to BF4 and BF1 levels, which I dont like as I see it as athletes with steroids, unfair ground.

Having said that, I like the game and most of my friends, while always complaining, they play daily, so I know they like it too.

Also looking forward to play WITH more OSers, as playing alone or VS, dont seem to help my win%

With the way some weapons can only be used to ADS when laying prone it's encouraging people to just lay in random piles of debris with a LMG.

I really think the game should start deducting points if you spend an extended amount of time off of the objective sans vehicle support. I think it may would help encourage some people to stop posing as a piece of rubble and PTFO.

Imagine going -10,000 points because you refused to help.

Was playing Tides of War last night, was fun. Love the big maps, and they feel very large. Some of the guns feel a bit to accurate at long range, "like did he really just shoot me one shot from far away with a sub machine gun? " does not happen enough to ruin game for me. But does happen time to time, also with pistols as someone mention. I love the objective based maps, even better when teammates seem to be on same page. I do love how you really got to think about when and how your going to save someone as a medic. Been killed many times trying to save a teammate.

Same with Snipers. They’re ability to shoot someone from nearly anywhere on the map is insane. I found myself doing exactly what you’ve stated with the last gun in the LMG class (can’t remember what it’s called) and it became very boring. That gun is a beast, but you can barely kill someone without being prone.

I started playing conquest and you’re using the whole map. It’s impossible to run around with sub machine gun because what we’ve stated. I’ve trying giving this game a chance, but I’m struggling to stay invested.

Had a great time last nite... stayed with my squad, took my time and tried to think where I'd be playing if I were the enemy...it was incredibly fun. I was a medic and realized quickly how powerful smoke can be.

Smoke is an invaluable thing to have in this game. With the ineffectiveness of frag and incendiary grenades in battle there's no reason for a medic to not be running with smoke.

I love my smoke grenade launcher. Nothing like laying 3 smoke bombs in the street to revive the dead!

How do you all think the community would react to Dice making it to where after players sat in a general area away from the objective for long enough they started becoming spotted for the opposing team automatically on the mini-map and it would progress to a 3D spot as well?

I like that, not a big fan of camping near an objective unless you are capturing it.

I think that would be helpful, but up to a certain range it wouldn't make much difference. I dislike when people snipe from far away, but if someone is protecting or defending an objective I just get over it because that actually makes sense for what the class is supposed to be for and there are ways to combat it like counter sniping with a semi-auto rifle or popping some smoke.

Someone in the clan I'm in suggested that if someone is laying prone for an extended amount of time they should show up on the mini map and that would be another great feature for me. I get that you can't legitimately ADS with a lot of LMG/HMG in real life. I've shot even a M240B quite a bit in real life and it was always on a stanchion, but they are picking and choosing when realism is important and having weapons that only ADS when laying prone just adds to the issue with people laying in random alleys away from objectives.

I didn't pay enough attention to notice it, but apparently there's been a bug in the game where if you kill someone you are spotted on the mini-map that was supposed to go away with the latest patch.

Next patch is going to make specific servers for different TTK/TTD adjustments. I think this is a good route to go because if the results of the patch aren't what people need they can decide where to play.
