    Battlefield V

I downloaded the patch...Im going to give some reasons why I think the killcam is trash.

    1. It slows the game down. Most of us just want to play right away and hop right back into the action after deaths and not be forced to watch the person killing us do teabags...

    2. It looks outdated. This isn't BF3, BF4 or BFH anymore it's BFV. Why the hell stick to the same old ugly janky killcam. Nobody wants to see the same camera year after year. The angle is horrible too.

    3. This is a BIG one. Doesn't it make more sense to bleed out first then get the stupid looking killcam? Like why do I have to watch that terrible killcam then bleed out? Smh

    4. It's not a killcam. It's more like... "let's watch the guy who killed you" camera from a played out angle that Dice used in every battlefield game. We all can agree it looks ugly and played out.

It's my opinion. I didn't like the netcode even when everything got patched the gunplay still doesn't match up to BFV. And bro it's like $5 used on eBay. Lol

But I did the opposite, having played PS first then BF. BF just looks and more importantly runs head and shoulders better. PS is a great game though.

Not to derail the thread talking about PS, but I've been fortunate to not have any performance issues running either game. It's similar performance. I do wish that the devs of PS had all of the resources so that it looked as pretty, but it is far from being an ugly game.

The Battlefield series has just gotten faster and faster since BC2 and that is the opposite of what I've wanted from the series. That's probably why I prefer PS since getting it.

It runs well enough, but side by side there's really no comparison to which looks and runs better. Not taking away from the enjoyment factor at all, but visually BF has it beat. As it should, coming from a AAA studio that's been making the same game for years. Plus BF is much easier to just jump into. Can't really get a "quick" game of PS in. It's most enjoyable when you've enough time to start and finish an entire match, which sometimes can be very long.

And your second point I couldn't agree more with. I MUCH prefer the slower, more hardcore pace and play of PS. I drool over the thought of PS devs having the resources and money EA does.

Which leads me back to BF....and more specifically the issues stated above with the kill cam... just one more reason we need hardcore mode!!! FFS the mini-map alone is easy mode already, now I get to see how and where I got killed and by whom? Just one more thing to add to the list.

In the end I do still enjoy the game. But what HC would and could bring would only make it more enjoyable IN MY OPINION.

HC servers would definitely help alleviate most of the issues I have with the game. No map, no spotting, the slower pace that tends to come with it. Is it even on its way?

I have to disagree with this. I still own all the Battlefield games and Battlefield 4 is still the one I play the most often. There is just so much going on it's an incredible war game. If Dice released the same exact game (Battlefield 4) tomorrow with updated 4k graphics I'd have no problem paying full price for it again.

Last I heard custom/private servers were due around March. We'll see. Really I want those over Official Dice HC servers, but at this point I'd take anything lol.

Yea, if you're a fan of what BF has become like you seem to be it probably isn't the game for you. It is closer to what the series used to be like Squad is, but with a bit more down time with the tactical side being much more pronounced. BF has simply become a Michael Bay war movie in game format which is obviously popular, but it's alienated a lot of original player base from the early years of the series.

Not to digress too much, and I DO like BFV....

...but I have EA Access and downloaded BF3 yesterday for giggles since it's free with my membership, and it retrieved my old BF3 profile (yeah, Leeroy Jenkins, capping A early..we all remember LOL). I played three rounds w/randoms last night and had a blast.

I think that game may still have the most visceral audio cues of the series. Good fun. Showing it's age, but still GREAT maps for the most part and played great, sounds sublime.

I like that I can enjoy the whole bloody series thus far.

I ran into it yesterday as well. Didn't know what the hell was happening.

I finally figured out that you just need to pause the game, maybe, and it goes away. Could have been a coincidence that pausing worked. But I didn't have any issue after that. And it was on the map with all the cornfields. 🤷🏾*♂️
