Yeah, I was mildly interested in this. But with all of the Red Dead info that has come out, Fallout will be a hard pass for me.

Fallout 76 footage embargo lifts today at 10 am est. Media and Youtuber’s had 3 hours to play and capture footage. So we finally get to see a bunch of new stuff.

Looking forward to giving this a go with friends, but everyone's passing on it due to RDR2. We'll see what the state of the game is some months later when we're ready to give it a shot.

Watched some footage earlier. Honestly looks a bit boring and just not the type of game I want in the Fallout universe which is a real shame because it being in the Appalachia is something big for me.

Yeah....everything I read is interesting, but I'm not sold on the online aspect vs. single player...I'd wait for things to get settled after a while. RDR2 is a safer buy IMO.

well bethesda jacked this one up. Tons of people on PC and supposedly xbox had their game downloads erased upon opening the bethesda launcher (not sure how this effected xbox). Game started downloading again, I even saved a copy of the downloaded files in another location and brought them over and that didn't work. So with my back woods internet I've got another 33 hrs of download time. Hoozah!

                    Re: Fallout 76

This continues to be the least enthusiastic I’ve ever been for a BGS game. I’m sure after a few months we’ll all see Bethesda reporting how it’s a glowing success and the best-selling game in their history. How it’s another Game of the Year. But realistically I’m just not excited for it. Especially since Red Dead Redemption 2 just came out. It’s not very often that BGS has to worry about competition but I imagine the success of RDR2 has to have them at least slightly concerned that their new online venture will flop. I’m guessing that ultimately it will make money for them, but to be honest, I’m secretly hoping for its failure. To make BGS go back to their, “roots,” of great single player games. I know we have a Starfield and TES VI up the road but it will be at the VERY least more than 10 years between Elder Scrolls titles. I get it that they don’t JUST want to do Fallout and Elder Scrolls, but perhaps they should have considered that before they released back-to-back Fallout titles with Fallout 4 and Fallout 76.

With these b.e.t.a. windows I'm having a hard time immersing myself into the world. I find myself rushing around a lot. I'll probably start a new character after the game officially drops and wander a lot.

I had pre ordered the Tri Centennial edition for my son, I had zero interest in this game. We both loved Fallout 3 & 4 but after watching some vids of the beta my son didn't even wanna play the beta and he wanted to cancel the game which I did, He wanted RDR2 instead. I know it was a beta, but it didn't even look like a current gen game. We are having a blast playing RDR2 and are looking forward to the multiplayer next month!

Their engine is somewhat dated now (even when Fallout 4 dropped it wasn't super modern). Not having NPCs somewhat ruins the feel of a Fallout game. I've watched a bunch of video of the beta and wasn't really impressed. Doesn't seem like a game that's going to get a ton of traction long term. Maybe I'll be wrong, but we'll see.

Also still not sure about the Multi-player aspect. I was crafting at a weapon work station when all of the sudden I start getting shot. After I finally got out of the crafting menus and figured out where the shots were coming from it was a bit too late.

You can’t build cover around your work station? Like a room around it?

You can at your camp but this happened to be at one of the random work stations in one of the towns.
