Only playing GTA3 at the moment but the rain is fixed. Can't speak about all the character models. Still seems to be some minor lurching forward in the cars while driving fast. They also lengthened the time it takes for your car to explode so you can escape getting wasted after 2 seconds. Bottom line for me is it is only 65 bucks for 3 classic games. They look better on balance. I didn't expect much better than this but I would hope Rockstar learns from this debacle when they remaster GTA4.

Re: GTA Trilogy
I have it on pc and series s but haven’t played much lately. Still foolishly want it on switch but I think it might still have a ways to go as far as updates are concerned. I admittedly haven’t been following the Switch update cycle though.

Re: GTA Trilogy
I just picked it up over the holiday and had a lot of fun playing through GTA III. I encountered a handful of small bugs that I likely wouldn't have thought twice about had I not heard the firestorm throughout the community (cars occasionally in the ceiling in the tunnel, leaves sometimes floating, Claude's feet appearing below the floor near a safehouse). I also experienced one crash (XBox One) over the course of however long it took me to 100 percent it all. I'd prefer zero crashes but all things considered, I'll take it.
Otherwise, what a fun trip down memory lane. The game basically transported me right back those late nights with my crew back in 2001. The music, the quirks, the playstyle, the super annoying aspects (shout out to still being maddeningly blown up by the mafia after two shotgun blasts through the hood in Portland). I also came to realize that I may have never actually beat the original, so that was kind of fun, too. I think my friends and I just spent an inordinate amount of time entering codes and taking turns going on wild crime sprees back then.
I just began Vice City two nights ago and I'm loving that as well. Spending so much time exclusively in III kind of reset my expectations and now makes Vice City feel like an instant upgrade by comparison (as it was). I find myself appreciating all the new additions just like I did 19 years ago (barrel rolling after jumping from distance, motorcycles, hammers, chainsaws, radio stations that take a smidge longer to repeat and with more notable artists, etc.)
Honestly, I'd heard rumors for a long time of folks wanting to return to Vice City for GTA VI and I was always lukewarm on such a notion. But after two nights with the original Vice City, I think I'd be all in. My dream would be to see a new GTA tackle the 80's but I realize the inherent limitations there.
Long story short, I'm glad I picked this trilogy up and hopefully another patch hits San Andreas before I get there, based upon what I've heard. Though patch or not, I imagine I'm going to enjoy the ride.Comment

Re: GTA Trilogy
Beat GTA3 and Vice City, started San Andreas earlier today. Just the stories and side missions, not 100%. Agree with basically all of VDusen04's post. While I get the disappointment that they didn't do more with them, its still been worth the money for me. Both for nostalgia and a legitimately fun game. Obviously GTAIV and V are amazing games and huge upgrades, but there's still things i miss from the older ones I hope the next GTA can capture. Also...kind of crazy listening to the talk radio stations and how the things people are saying don't feel exaggerated these days lol.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

I 100 percented III and Vice City and had a great time doing so. However, I needed a bit of a break (the chase for 100 is a bit addicting) so I figured it'd make sense to wait until San Andreas was patched before proceeding onward.Comment
