    GTA Trilogy

You didn’t have to spell it out, I understood what it meant, it’s just a terrible analogy.

Does the remaster trilogy have custom radio stations?

I don't remember much about enterable buildings in these, so are there any? Can you enter stores to buy things and restaurants to eat? Any other buildings you can enter?
I would assume GTA 3 had less of that since it was the first one, but how about the other games?
      My Specs:

      ZX Spectrum
      CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
      GPU: Monochrome display
      RAM: 48 KB
      OS: Sinclair BASIC

I know for certain San Andreas did/does and I think Vice City did as well(might be the Mall you can enter if I’m not mistaken).

But then, I'm hearing some folks are having a really good nostalgia play with this game, character issues aside. That's all I really want from this trilogy, a nostalgia run.

That said, I'd much rather play a game that didn't have some of the issues I'm hearing, so I'm also kind of curious as to whether there will be any post-release updates that square at least a few of these things away.

I guess Cyberpunk came out last year? If you had asked me I would have sworn it came out this year. This launch has definitely not been a good one, but I doubt it impacts Rockstar too much. I don't think they are the company I once loved anymore and I don't know if GTA VI will be the game I want it to be. Even V was not the GTA experience I always loved.

Red Dead gives me hope Rockstar can still make great games. The way they continue to milk this franchise lazily makes me wonder what GTA VI will be, though.

Rockstar would have been better off just releasing an edition that had some of the top community mods and called it a day.

The good news is some of the devs said they will fix most of the issues. Like I said before there’s zero reasons why this game can’t run 4K 60 or even 4K 120fps. This also shows how under powered the switch is as well since it’s 720p at very low settings and running at close to 20fps.

                  Re: GTA Trilogy

I think it's not even close to the Cyberpunk mess. The trilogy is just a small project Rockstar put out there for extra cash. It can be the worst thing ever created and I doubt it will have any effect on the release of their next major title.

One issue is that some dummies spread before release nonsense like the trilogy was going to have GTA V physics and made themselves and others believe it, even though it was never mentioned by R*.

Anyway, looks like the GTA 4 remaster is real. I personally only need it on the PS4, they can leave it as is and I'd pay $19.99 for it. But it will probably become an almost-GTA-V kind of remaster. We'll see...
Some of the mods are related to GTA IV sparking speculation of a remastered version of Rockstar's 2008 open-world crime game

That's exactly it, that's the target audience of this remaster. It's not going to make youngsters fans of these games and the games are obviously dated regardless of the graphics. Nostalgia is the main factor here. If not for being R* titles, I am not sure how much it would appeal to someone who never played the old titles and is more interested in online modes, AKA most young gamers today.

People would be more forgiving if the price wasn't $60, I suspect. Can't fault people for expecting these types of remastered/enhanced editions to be live up to these types of prices.

Do you have a link to those statements? I don't doubt you, I'm just curious to hear more. I'm not planning on buying the game immediately so it'd be nice to know things might be refined a little before I picked it up.

I'd be down for a legitimate GTA 4 remaster, like something closer to the Tony Hawk 1+2 remasters. It'd be nice to see NYC spruced up a bit, traffic increased, more activities available, so on and so forth. I imagine there's been mods that have done just that but I've never had access to them.

After remastering III/VC/SA and then IV, I think it would be awesome if they remastered GTA V!

If it was $60 per game of the trilogy I'd agree with you more. You're getting the entire trilogy remastered for $60, though. Don't get me wrong, the release is still disappointing overall, but graphically speaking, outside of some of the updated models, the games look great given how old they are and that this is a remaster and not a remake.
