            Re: GTA Trilogy

These were a no-brainer, as since they came out when I was teenager I never finished playing any of them.

Started up GTA III and it looks great. The map seems SUPER small compared to how I remember it. It's crazy that gaming has come so far that what we thought was a massive world in the early 2000s is a drop in the bucket compared to now.

I'm seeing/finding a lot of hitbox glitches and graphics out of position. Things like leaf piles floating in air, hitting objects that are not in my path on screen, glitching through the world, etc.

The killer glitch right now is on the Grand Theft Auto mission, it just won't complete for me. The first couple tries when I brought back the third car the door was closed (although it wasn't I could walk/drive through it), so I left the cars out of the garage and put them all in side by side at the same time on another try with a minute left and still failed. Anybody get to this mission have any similar issues or what am I doing wrong here?

Overall it looks good and it appears to be buggy, but I'm sure the original was just as bad/worse as it was ground breaking for its time.

I’m enjoying III so far. As a NYC resident (BX) I still can’t figure out which borough was supposed to be which here. First time playing this believe it or not.

They really should have thought about LA smog, SF fog, and LV desert haze (if there is such a thing, which I don't see as I'm currently in Vegas as we speak) and took some artistic liberties to conceal distant objects, at least from a certain height. That totally takes away the illusion of the size of the place, which is undoubtedly much smaller than the map design ever led it on to be way back when.

So glad Rockstar is getting **** on for this lazy remaster, enough with their ****. But time will pass and people will still talk themselves into buying the same game (GTAV) for the 3rd time in a 3rd console because "I need my GTA fix".

I've been enjoying Vice City but I usually play through all of the trilogy once or twice a year anyway, so I knew I was gonna get this. Gonna go VC, San Andreas, then 3 to play through the story in order

They can keep the GTA V PS5 upgrade though lmao. The PC version is just fine

                        GTA Trilogy

My biggest beef with this game isn’t the graphics. It’s how badly optimized these games are. They clearly are older games but they shouldn’t be struggling to hit 4K 60 with these graphics.

But, I will say the cutscenes have some if the worse looking facial graphics I’ve seen in a long time lol.

                          Yikes.

Following the remaster collection’s release on Thursday, dataminers uncovered what*they called*a “holy grail” within its game files.

That includes nearly all the*music that was removed from Vice City and San Andreas*due to expired licences, which is actually still present and that the game simply chooses not to play.

Even more tantalising for fans was the discovery that the collection’s code contains an uncompiled version of the*main.scm*file, which contains all the game scripts for GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas, including cut and missing content, as well as notes from*Rockstar North*staff from that era.

Datamining reportedly uncovered even more surprises in the Definitive Edition game files on Saturday, when social media users claimed to have uncovered data related to ‘Hot Coffee’, the infamous, canned San Andreas sex mini-game that ended up*costing Take-Two more than $20m*in legal costs.

That’s not surprising about the music files though. They aren’t licensed to play, but that doesn’t mean they’ll shred that data completely.

What I meant was Rockstar should’ve found a better hiding place, because in the wrong hands it becomes a weapon not used as intended.

Didn’t think I had to spell that one out.
