Well said Sky, I've never understood that thinking either. I always try to sell my gaming stuff on CL first, if it doesnt sell then I am just thankful to get what I can in trade in value. Those places are doing us gamers a service, imagine if there were no places to trade in games.

I'll never understand this thinking. THEY didn't F you over. You knew going in what the trade value was going to be there.
So if it was bad IYO... you F'ed yourself by doing it.
When a trade value is under what I feel it should be I check BB or wait for extra trade deals..
And of course you're not going to get what the game is worth. GS is a business and they're there to make money, not break even or lose money.
For the record, I sell all of my games on eBay, but I know it can be a risk with the way people are shady these days.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague
Alabama Crimson Tide
Green Bay Packers
Boston Celtics
New Orleans Pelicans

I can handle that if it's like Bleacher Report where it instantly loads in page. I immediately click off these random sites that load a brand new page which clicking next on their "slideshow". Not gonna give them that extra ad revenue.Comment

Obviously I never expect to get fair value when trading in a game. And if you read my post it clearly says "used to" as in used to do business with GameStop. This is years back, I have sense smartened up and trade games with Best Buy or Target/Walmart depending on who is running the best trade promotion at the time.
My point still stand, though. Their ****ty trade values helped me lose no sleep when constantly returning used games for another.Comment

Paseo is probably the most popular restaurant in Seattle, constant lines out the door every day at all hours. It just abruptly closed both of its locations today, and it looks like for good. This is worse than the Brandon Mebane injury news. I can't take this today.Comment

People like Dave Lozo.
Connor McDavid, who is the consensus number 1 pick coming up in the NHL draft, broke his hand in a fight the other night.
There has been fighting in hockey since its inception. But since a kid with this kind of stature has broken something because of said fight, it opened up his agenda to get rid of fighting in hockey.
I simply can't stand people like this. Always trying to change something. All it takes is a little incident, and then the bull**** agendas come out. If you don't like fighting in hockey, or you think it's pointless, then don't watch. Problem solved.
I'm not going to link the article, because I don't want this ******* to get the clicks. But it's there, and it is smug and snarky as hell on top of it. Shocking, I know.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I am all for an actual fight because passions are running high and it happens naturally. When the teams put out their no-talent roster spot wasters to have a pre-staged fight, that's when I have a problem with it. That's garbage, and those guys shouldn't be on rosters.Comment

That said, I hate fighting if it's not natural.
....I was out of the sports radio loop for a while until I started free trials of SiriusXM to listen to MLB Network Radio. Where did this "I'll hang up and take your answer off the air" thing take hold? Seems like every caller does this nowadays. Kinda irritating.Comment

Someone does something stupid, and answers for it immediately (I was at this game, btw, it was great).Last edited by ImTellinTim; 11-12-2014, 06:27 PM.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Don't get me wrong, that guy is a complete asshat, but the fighting from the drop of the puck stuff can go away as far as I'm concerned.

Was better.
But for NHL, there's no way fighting should ever be eliminated from the game. Reduce the unnecessary fights sure, but don't eliminate fighting altogether. Maybe something like if players get a certain amount of fights, they get suspended.
Something like after 4 fights suspended for 2 games, after 8 fights suspended 3 games, after 12 fights suspended 4 games, after 16 fights suspended 5 games, after 20+ fights suspended 6+ games
So guys would have to pick and choose their fights carefully to avoid missing games/forcing their team to have to make roster moves in their absence.Comment
