Just had the Schlafly Summer Ale, wasn't all that impressed. There wasn't much to it. That's the first Schlafly I didn't enjoy.

 Got a mix-a-six of new beers to try today.
 
 First one I tried was New Grist from Lakefront Brewery. It was very drinkable, I could easily put down a bunch in one sitting. The bottle says right on it that it's a great session beer, and that's no lie. Taste is decent, though not amazing.  Had some of HARPOON'S OCTOBERFEST 
 
 
 ABV- 5.5%
 
 From a brown 12 oz. bottle this poured a bright copper with a thick, Niiiice rocky, off white head. A niiice lacing is left on the glass.
 
 Smell is of toasted malts and a slight fruity.
 
 Taste is malty, smooth, & it tasted ALOT like Sam Adams Oct'fest, with a carmelized sugar aftertaste.
 Mouthfeel is medium, very smooth and well balanced.
 
 Drinkability is good, a good example of the style.

 Yeah, i've had it...it aint a bad summer beer at all. kinda light & citrusy from what i remember. a great thirst quencher if you will. out of all the Leinenkugels...i actually like the fireside nut brown ale & sunset wheat(coriander = fruit loops or fruity pebbles) ain't bad either...a lot on the fruity side w/ the ssw...but not bad... refreshing & different fo sho.
