    Delicious.

What's the price tag on that beer Brett? I may look into getting me some here in the near future to try it out.

Forgot how good Surly Furious was until I had a pint of it last night. I'm going to be picking up a 4-pack or two after work.

Had a couple Harp and Guinness Black and Tans last night. I have these same glasses and the pour looks just like this except I put little more "tan".

Surly Brewing Company is amazing...period! I love going to Minnehaha park, grabbing a Po Boy or some fish tacos at Sea Salt and enjoying a pint or two of whatever Surly they have on tap.

What do you guys think about putting the cork back into a 750ml beer to drink later? What does it do to the beer?

I opened a 750ml but ****, at 9% ABV and being a Belgian Strong Pale Ale....it's damn near impossible to drink the whole thing in one sitting.

Ehhh... I am 22 and a college kid but I enjoy nice beer. To me I can separate "get drunk because I am poor beer" and enjoyable beer. I have tried a few brands in this thread and have generally enjoyed them but I cannot afford them outside of special occasions. Also, I am more of a liquor guy, and just like with beer, I can differentiate between cheap vodka, rum, or whiskey that needs to be put down, and something that I can enjoy on the rocks. I wish I drank miller regularly, unfortunately, for me it is Natty, IceHouse and Busch mostly. I do feel like though, for a standard domestic price, I don't understand whay anyone would drink Miller over yuengling. But then again, I have a factory in my city (as do you, right? Don't you live in or have some connection to Tampa?). Maybe you dont give us college kids enough credit :-p

My soon to be father in law gave me one of those Belgian beers after I had already drank a 12 pack of Miller Lite. It is definitely a different taste but wasn't bad. Just sits very heavy in your stomach.

You can recork a bottle, but it would only really stay decent for a few hours, probably 10 max. Something like a stout that isn't carbonation-heavy wouldn't lose as much of its charm as something like a Pilsner or pale ale though. But yeah, when I get a giant beer, I only open that one and that's what I drink for the night unless I'm really tying one on... the 750 ml is plenty for me, especially since those are normally 6.5%+, and often 10%+.

My new love is the Odell Myrcenary Double IPA -- ****ing delicious. I can't get Pliny the Elder on the regular, and this $9.99/4-pack beauty is a great substitute. Hoppy as HELL, but not bitter really until the finish -- it's an uber-fruity/citrusy hop explosion, great head retention and lacing too. My favorite beer right now. I had it on draft at a restaurant about a week ago and have been hooked ever since. It really rules because it's not only local to me, but a year-round brew by one of the more available micros here. ROCK!

I have been drinking the Windmer KGB Imperial Russian Stout also -- saw it for $7.50 per sixer and had to grab some. It's a drier stout, not super chocolatey, and has some of the smoky notes that you find in porters.

If anyone here likes the Sam Latitude 48 check around and see if you can find a case of the Latitude 48 "deconstructed."

They took the 5 hops that make up the latitude 48 and brewed individual beers with each of them and include them all in this case. It's not being distributed and won't last too long but it's worth trying out if you like the IPA's.

                          Another college kid here.

I classify beer into two different categories.

                          1. Beer that can get pounded

                          2. Beer that should be enjoyed.

Me being a college kid, I find myself drinking the cheap beer, as most college kids do. Im sure most people weren't drinking Belgian style beer their freshman year.

The beers I have drank recently that could be classified as beers that should be enjoyed are Guinness, Saranac Black Forest, and Saranac Pale Ale. Black forest was a dark beer that was ok. The Pale Ale went down a lot easier.

It really is a solid brewery. I haven't disliked anything they've come out with. The Coffee Bender is outstanding. And, of course, if you can get your hands on it, Darkness - which was voted best beer in the world one year by one of the big raters.

I really hope they win their fight to get the laws changed so they can build their destination brewery.

I'm starting to get into Pilsners as the weather gets hotter. Peroni is a great choice, along with Stella Artois.
