Because you came into the beer thread talking about how you like Bud Light and don't like "dark" beer, etc.

Answer me this. Would you rather eat a burger and chicken wings, or would you rather eat, say, an Indian dish with a bunch of spices like cumin, turmeric, etc.?

Seriously, Americans have the worst and most unsophisticated palates in the world, so it's not a big deal. I didn't enjoy "real" beer myself until I was in my later twenties. I also had a bland, American diet as well. Now I enjoy pairing good beer with food that actually has flavor. It's nice!

Gee, yeah, the entire country just sucks. Sucks!

Hint: You're an American. So am I. So are most of the people in this thread.

Tone down the condescension. He already explained his stance. Your attitude is what turns people off from learning and appreciating beer, not "unsophisticated palates"

Sick of this American bashing everywhere. "Gee, I'm not like THE REST OF THEM. I'm SOPHISTICATED!"

Had some Cherokee Red Ale at a local steakhouse. Very tasty.

I know this might be a beer snob thread (not saying that in a negative light)... I've tried different types. Dark, IPA's, etc... Can't stand them. Maybe it's just an acquired taste, but the after taste makes me want to punch myself in the face.

Probably don't drink beer enough, anyway. I've always just liked the simple stuff sold in the cooler at Wal Mart.

Someone needs to save me, judging my this thread. Because I could be missing out big time.
I've got no issue knocking back cheap beer if the occasion calls for it. For the next few months, all I'll be drinking for beer is Michelob Ultra while I'm training for the Spartan Beast. That's actually been the hardest part of training and trying to drop another 15 pounds; giving up the heavier, more flavorful brews I've become accustomed to. I've really grown to like an assortment of IPAs over the past year.

Funny thing is, light beer doesn't bother me, never has. I can drink them all day, but if push comes to shove and I could pick, I'm grabbing a craft brew.

Scrimshaw Pilsner is usually what I go for when I want something I can drink a lot of. I can't imagine it being too heavy for losing weight purposes. It's like 4.2% or something.

Ditto. If a man likes chicken wings, then that's that. It isn't a matter of someone else's opinion... or shouldn't be. I, for one, don't much care to Bud Light, but love Corona. Does that make me less of a beer extraordinaire than someone else? I think not. Just means we haven't different tastes.

Burger and chicken wings... In a landslide.

                    That was easy.

College really made me appreciate Natty. I still pick up a sixer of that every now and then. Judge away.

Coors light or Corona are my go-to beers for tailgating or the beach. I can drink them all day with out being effected too much. In my Kegerator, I'll put a keg of good beer so I always have it available at home.
