haha, my dad's been putting a lime in his Heineken for as long as I can remember.

Fat Tire is an amber ale. Way overhyped, but it's not too shabby.

Hoegaarden Original White Ale - Very good beer. Very unique taste that's hard to explain. I'd definitely buy it again.

Abita Pecan Ale - The pecan flavor really dominates this beer, but I guess that should be expected. I think the pecan is a tad too strong, though. I'd probably buy it again but it's not something I would drink very often.

I'm not a fan of beer but this thread is giving me ideas to try and see if I find something I like.

Went to a Greek restaurant last night and had a "Mythos" which is a Greek beer, it was pretty damn good. It was nutty yet light and citrusy at the same time.

Guinness is my regular beer. Four out of five times that I drink it is nothing but Guinness. I do like an occasional six pack from the Great Lakes Brewing Company though. I just had a four pack (it is too strong to put in 6 packs) of the Blackout Stout last week and it tore me a new one.

Publix has a Flying Dog variety pack. Going to be incredibly difficult to ignore that until St. Patrick's Day. I've had their Tire Bite Ale and it was really good.

I split a Flying Dog variety pack with my roommate a few weeks ago. Damn good.

lol..maybe so, but I can't enjoy a heavy beer like that on its own. Guinness with a steak dinner though is incredible.

Maybe, but that Guinness you hold in such high regard has the same alcohol content as any American light beer which are made for ladies.

Now Blackout Stout is a winner! We used to get Great Lakes stuff in our market, but haven't for years and I still miss them. Their Ed Fitzgerald Porter was a staple of my diet years ago.

I'm a vegetarian, but I understand what you mean. I usually don't eat when I drink, but I have noticed that chocolate goes very good with the darker beers.

Yep, it is a seasonal beer. Only brewed in February and March, although where I live I have no problems finding it in stores until at least June.
