Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
Hoegaarden Original White Ale - Very good beer. Very unique taste that's hard to explain. I'd definitely buy it again.
Abita Pecan Ale - The pecan flavor really dominates this beer, but I guess that should be expected. I think the pecan is a tad too strong, though. I'd probably buy it again but it's not something I would drink very often.Comment

[b] Brooklyn MONSTER ALE...WOW!!!
ABV= 11.8
price: 10 bucks a rack
Barleywine
Appearance: Appearance- dark reddish-brown, nearly a full on red color. Pours with a slight head, but not much,doesn't last.
Smell: malts,fruit notes and caramel hints.
Taste: The The bouquet is very appealing. Citrus, pine, caramel, and ethanol come together harmoniously...

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
I'm not a fan of beer but this thread is giving me ideas to try and see if I find something I like.
Went to a Greek restaurant last night and had a "Mythos" which is a Greek beer, it was pretty damn good. It was nutty yet light and citrusy at the same time.Comment

Guinness is my regular beer. Four out of five times that I drink it is nothing but Guinness. I do like an occasional six pack from the Great Lakes Brewing Company though. I just had a four pack (it is too strong to put in 6 packs) of the Blackout Stout last week and it tore me a new one.
My philosophy with beer is basically this: If you can see through it, then it is for girls.Comment

Publix has a Flying Dog variety pack. Going to be incredibly difficult to ignore that until St. Patrick's Day. I've had their Tire Bite Ale and it was really good.Twitter

Now Blackout Stout is a winner! We used to get Great Lakes stuff in our market, but haven't for years and I still miss them. Their Ed Fitzgerald Porter was a staple of my diet years ago.Comment

I'm a vegetarian, but I understand what you mean. I usually don't eat when I drink, but I have noticed that chocolate goes very good with the darker beers.Comment
