What is your WORST moment as a sports fan?

2009 NFC Championship Game: I was CONVINCED we were gonna win the Super Bowl, it was our year. Favre was having a magical year, Adrian was Adrian, and we had just dismantled the Cowboys the week before. I was mad about that game for a long time, so many damn turnovers.

I have Paul Allen's call of Favre's interception on my iPod and sometimes I listen to it after a bad day to cheer myself up.

On the note of wrestling...

I don't really follow wrestling anymore and haven't followed it in the past decade(with the exception of a few video games). I did watch it during the Attitude era, however. One moment that has always stuck out to me was when Owen Hart died. That was absolutely tragic.

I don't think I'll ever forget the moment while watching it live and hearing JR say that Owen died. Very sad...

I'm sure that if I was old enough to remember it, it would have been the worst moment for me, no doubt.

Just watching Youtube clips of the show and everyone's reaction is just heart-stopping...

Nope. Mine is the culmination of an event and therefore will be referred to by date only.

1998 NFC Championship Game: Gary Anderson (who was known in our household as "MR. AUTOMATIC!") missing that kick in ATL.

I feel your pain, '98 was harder on me for 2 reasons. I was too young to drink (tall frosties helped ease the pain of 2009) and that '98 team was just so dominant the entire year. They were heavily favored to win that game, where as, the 2009 team was on the road in a tough place...and I didn't have high hopes that they would win from the get go.

That being said, the 2009 team most definitely SHOULD have won that game. Minus that horrible rash of fumbles in the 3rd quarter, and a bunch of cheap shots/bad calls...they pretty much had their way with the Saints.

Theres plenty i could name but my worst is Super Bowl 44. That pick Peyton threw will forever be ingrained in my memory. I was disappointed for like a week after that loss.
