And it's not always true that you go to prison for killing your cheating womanfolk when everyone knows you killed her.

However, I wouldn't recommend doing it, and the stats show overwhelmingly that college educated people make tens of thousands more than non-college educated people.

Some parents have the money, so if he gets a 2.0 next year another $200.

That is because the colleges are the ones that started those stats. Like I said some trades make more. That is fact. HVAC make over $100,000 a years, but they have a lot of over time.

          According to whom?

Everything I can find puts their average salaries in the upper 40s to lower 60s.

I think if I wasn't a college educated man with a soon to be 2 Masters degrees. I would have been an electrician.
I'm pretty sure trade careers would fit into one of the categories in that study. For example, "High School Degree" or perhaps "Some College."

That's great for your dad, but generally speaking, that is the high end and not the rule. Even with people like your dad raking in that kind of money, the median for high school graduate is $32,000.

I agree that if you are not college material (and certainly, not everyone is), there are still opportunities. But don't expect to make money like that, because it's not the norm.

What, so it's just a massive conspiracy? Good grief.

"Some trades make more." Sure, and some don't. Again, I am looking at averages and norms here, not exceptions. You are essentially trying to compare the average college graduate to the above average trade worker, lol.

"HVAC make over $100,000 a years, but they have a lot of over time." Bolded part is the key there. It requires extra work and is the exception rather than the rule. Not every trade worker is going to come in and make six figures... most won't.

That is the problem in Cali we make a lot more. So that is why we have different numbers. I make over $65,000 a year and I am a teacher. I saw that most teachers in other states make only 25,000 to 40,000 a year. So if I am making that much more as teacher. I am sure the trades would make more too.

Well, we are talking about the national averages here.

Isn't cost of living high in California? That would pretty much explain it. All that extra money you think you are making is going right to the higher expenses you have as a California resident.

Actually I am trying to tell you a lot of trades make more then college degree people. Especially Electrician, plumber or construction worker. Most of those jobs start out at $30 a hour and top out at $50 to $75 hr.

Very high. It all turns out the same in the end. I know I am not making any extra money. I am just trying to show you. I have a pretty cheap life. Bought a house when it was cheap and sold that house when the market was off the charts. Now have a nice house and a cheap mortgage. Now with that in my have a B.S. degree, MDIV (which is a masters degree in Theology and I am working on a Masters degree in education and a teaching credential, so I can keep my job.

I have provided actual statistics. Now it's your turn.

It's very hard to have a reasonable discussion when I'm actually finding facts while you continue to pull numbers off the top of your head.

Indeed. I didn't do much more than simply show up to class and I had a 3.3 in high school. Then again, my high school's standard testing results were deemed unacceptable by the state, and it has been one of the worst in East Texas for nearly a decade. Therefore most people's school experience was probably more difficult than mine.

So becasue I am not finding internet proof it doesn't count? OK, now I seen it all thank you! Have a good day. I am showing you life experiences. That is my proof. I was going to go into the trade field and that was what they were starting out with. But I am not going to find internet proof, becasue believe it or not the internet lie too. I am sure I can find some slick site that will prove my point too. But why? I done with this bickering. Also, I am a teacher I have study all the trades and the money they make. It is my job. Any ways have a good summer GOL.
