Maybe I'm wrong but I would say that it seems to be more of a thing that men care about. If a woman did have a lot of pride in her last name I'm not gonna say that it doesn't matter...its something we could definitely talk about. But one things for sure, I'm not taking her last name no matter what. Thats just the way I feel about it.

Like I said, if she didn't want to sleep in the same house or wanted to sleep with other men, then I'd have an issue. Having an issue over a name? Nah... Too many other things in life to get worked up about for me. .Comment

Not me and it definitely doesn't bother me... Although she had good reason to keep her last name so I suppose that could be why I had no problem with it.

Honestly, I'm not sure.. When she said she wanted to keep her last name due to her profession and having to change her law license, I said that's fine - what about kids? She said she figured they'd have my last name. I said that's fine as well.Comment

I just want to know what these guys who say that their wife has to have a good reason for not taking it, what their reason is for her to take it.
