This little bundle of joy showed up on our back porch at about 8 a.m. this morning. Obviously, he is someone's dog due to the collar. We posted a pic on a local Lost Dogs Facebook group and will be bringing him to the vet tomorrow to see if he's microchipped. I'm not sure what else we can do from there other than print some pics to share around our area.
In the meantime, we bathed him and took him to the pet store. We will be calling him Harris.

Well, we have a happy ending. "Harris's" dad found the Facebook page and was able to reclaim his dog Drego
around 11 last night. Turns out he was at the beach this weekend and one of his friends was watching his dog for him when Drego made his escape. The last that they had seen him was around 3 p.m. on Saturday and he showed up on our back porch around 7:30 Sunday morning. I was glad that we could reunite them.

Well unfortunately i'm very sad at the moment. Between tears and research i've managed to find my way on OS.
My lil buddy Lola looks to have a brain tumor. She went completely blind in only a couple days, very sad to watch, muscle tremors, and general sense of confusion.
We have a specialty appointment later this week but the initial vet visit all seems to point toward it being a brain tumor.
So here i sit crying, knowing i'll most likely have to put down my sweet little buddy!

We humans torture ourselves by surrounding ourselves with these cuddly companions that we know we are going to outlive 7 times over.
The love and good times these companions give us for the years they are with us makes it so worth having to struggle with their loss though.

I agree Mab and truly feel like not putting myself through this again.
So the eye test came back she did go completely blind in like a 3 days time. Now its looking like a MRI is required to determine where a tumor is located but then what, spend $1,800 to run MRI just to say ok yea there is a tumor but will cost $5,000 for surgery just to prolong her life 6 months to a year. Its so stupid expensive that it feels no worth doing obviously but then you are hit with the guilt of not doing anything for them.
Its a terrible situation across the board, i was hoping by some rare chance they would say "no she has eye sight problem related directly to the eye". Instead I got the worst case answer of "its a neurological problem and we wont know more until we do imaging".
Sad, she is a young 9 being she is a small breed which should push 14 to 15, plus she looks and acts puppy like. Instead gets dealt the **** card of a brain tumor. Just sucks cause she is so sweet, pretty heart broken.
