I have had the pleasure of eating a cheese-steak from Geno's in Philadelphia. It was one of the best sandwiches I'd ever eaten.

Man i wish salted macadamia nuts weren't so high in fat and sodium, i could eat a bucket of those things! I usually stick with almonds because i like the taste (like not love) and i don't go overboard eating them.
The fat in nuts is a good fat, the only downfall is sodium due to salt so either get lightly salted or unsalted.

Man it wasn't crowded it all because we hit it early in the morning. I wanna say it was around 9am or so, maybe later, but I think they were just opening. It was the day of the Falcons/Eagles NFC title game about 4 or 5 years ago. I didn't go across the street to Pat's, but Geno's was phenomenal.

              CONGRATS O!!! Good stuff.....

I know the sodium is crazy high on those nuts but man i love salted, roasted macadamia's and cashews way more than the much healthier raw, unsalted varieties.

Thanks! Oh and I hear you on the macadamia and cashews, I get the lightly salted ones but I'd prefer the regular ones!!!!!

What weight are you down to now?

I gotta start walking my dog more. I have been travelling so much recently that the poor thing must be feeling neglected.

I usually take it easy cardio wise on the weekends but i'll have to take a cue from you Odogg and get out there to take her for some decent walks on the weekends.

Congrats O - sorry I'm late to the scene! You deserved that pizza, man.

I had one meal today - Taco Bell - 1 taco, 1 1/2 pound burrito (potato)

So about 700 calories right there - had nothing but water the rest of the day, and some iced tea (Gold Peak) and energy drink that was sugar free and about 5 calories (forgot the name of it), totalling to 900 I would say.

After work, I promptly played 90-minutes of soccer, burned quite a bit - and then came home and worked out with the woman doing some abs and butt/leg workouts.

Just capped off the night with a salad - feeling good, going to fast starting tomorrow at 6 PM.

It really depends upon the scale lol....at home I am 256 (morning weigh in) but my official TOPS weight is 263 (evening weigh in). Of course I prefer my home weigh in lol. My goal is 220.

Sting, you're like me man, or how I was for a while, busting your hump through the week and then on the weekend you cut loose and your body makes you pay. I really watched my stuff this past weekend and walked a lot and managed to get away with a half pound loss which shocked me. Because typically I gain about 1 to 2 pounds back on the weekend.

So I think we're both going to have to just keep our attitude a little more sober over the weekend. For me I'm going to keep the alcohol to one night, not two, and do pizza every other weekend. When I don't do pizza I'm going to allow myself a cheat meal but I'm going to ask that I make it myself and not have it be restaurant food. When I do get my every other week cheat meal from a restaurant I'm going to simply try to get smaller portions with more vegetables. For instance I used to get a medium pizza, a sub and some wings. Which was more than one meal really, more like a whole days worth. So from here on out i'm going to shoot for a small pizza and a sub OR wings.

It's like boiling a frog man, a little change at a time for all of us and we don't feel so deprived and then one day you realize you're worlds better than where you were a year ago.

For breakfast this morning I had a whole wheat wrap (80) with ham (80) and provolone (60). I actually feel quite full despite that only being 220 calories. I think this will become my new Friday breakfast because of the filling vs. the calories (since I drink on Friday night and get my calories there).

Just remember today when you workout Sting: Pain is weakness leaving the body!!

Re: Weight Loss - Tips & Daily Check-in

I'm glad this thread is here. It's been interesting reading what people have to say. One month ago, I added weights to my workouts. What I was doing was running 3miles every other day and then 5 on Sunday. What I'm noticing is muscle development in my legs but nothing up top.

I'm 6'4" and weigh 225lbs. I'd like to get down to around 205 but really want to develop my muscle. All I'm doing is eating less but more frequently and making sure I get the right stuff inside me. My philosophy is moderation with the things you enjoy. That's it. I'm using about 4 of the P90x videos for muscle development and then counting on the running for cardio. I don't always finish the videos but also am not looking at a 90 day solution. I just happen to enjoy Tony Horten's personality enough that I work with that.

Both for exercise and eating I always fall back to moderation. I want to be able to eat the things I like and allow my body to tell me to stop. It seems to pay off nicely for me.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

Back to the routine today. Going to introduce carbs back into my diet. I have no set ratio with C/F/P I'm just going to eat what I want when I want.

Clearly my goal is to eat clean foods and not overeat. We'll see what happens.
