I've been on the glenlivet 12 year for a while, and occasionally I get the 15 yr as a treat but I stick to the 12 as my drink of choice. Tried the 18yr at a wedding and enjoyed it but not worth theb$$$

Yeah, scotch very rarely falls in the middle ground. It's either really good stuff or putrid. If you get a chance, order some Glenlivet 12 neat at the bar. Very good and easy to handle scotch.

I've got a couple more years till I can order anything at a bar lol.

I've become a huge fan of Woodford Reserve mixed with from fresh apple cider recently. I normally just drink bourbon or scotch on the rocks, but someone was making these at a party I was at recently and they are dangerously good. If I'm feeling real classy I'll even throw a thin apple slice on top.

I settled pretty much on 40 Creek as my only whiskey I drink. I use to try all different kinds and switch it up, but over the last year the only thing I buy now is 40 Creek.

Just curious how often you guys drink whiskey. I'll go through a bottle in about 10-12 days.

I posted about Ralphy on youtube and I watched one a while back where he said he would keep the used glass out for the next day and smell it. I do that and it's a very pleasant smell.

A fifth last me 5 to 6 days. Just say a week to be safe. I don't drink "a lot" each day, but I have A drink or two after work. Nothing more, just something to relax and sit back after long day at work. I don't drink every single day after work depending what I have going on.

Now when we have parties and get togethers I can go through a fifth in a night. I plan on doing that this Saturday for my fiancee's birthday. We got around 25 friends coming over and we going to light the fire pit outside, all sit back, drink and cut loose. In Louisiana we work hard but party harder lol

I drink a lot of whiskey (every morning after I get out of work), but I rarely drink it to get drunk. I have a glencairn glass, and fill it up just over the middle of the "bubble" on the bottom. Enough to get a little buzz.

I also like to switch it up. Lately I've been having a lot of Elijah Craig 12, but this morning, I decided I felt like having a single malt, so I went with the Glenlivet 12. All depends on the mood I'm in.

I picked up a 5th of Maker's 46 Saturday night.

I only have 1/3 of the bottle left... delicious stuff indeed.

I can't remember if I've ever had it before. I know I've bought the regular Maker's Mark before..

I have same problem. You can get one drink out of 3 stones. Since it comes with 6. I leave all 6 in freezer, make a drink with 3 stones, when finished there, rinse those 3 and put the other 3 stones in new drink. Then put the first 3 back in freezer to get cold by next drink. It sounds like a ton of work but honestly is no different than opening freezer and grabbing a couple ice cubes, only difference is rinsing them off.

Now with that said, if I know I'm going to be "drinking" and getting really deep into a fifth then I just use ice from the start. If I am just having a couple drinks I use the stones.
