States troopers, police officers and Army national guard is on edge and ticked off due to civilians constantly getting in their way with their kids trying to take pictures and crap. They straight arresting people now for obstruction.

This one detective looked like he was ready to knock this guy out for shouting he has rights and can go where he wants to go. I seen a good number of people yelling that crap today, men and women.

I felt like slapping all of them for getting in the way.

They don't get that those workers don't have the right to let him drown if, after popping off like that, he gets too close and falls in when the road he's on washes out. In fact, they'll risk their life to save his rights-having ***.

People just don't get it sometimes.
I can tell you first hand, that it's frustrating.
People think you are just "being the man" or some other nonsense.

True story...and you can tell that it's from a long time ago(I'm guessing '96 or maybe '97...as it was when I was assigned to a Manhattan firehouse)
On 34th Street and Broadway we had a fire in the underground electrical lines that was causing the manholes to spew smoke(and some fire) up and down 34th Street. We put up caution tape and were awaiting Con Ed to come in and shut down the lines. I was posted on the corner and this ummm..."gentleman" in a business suit wants to pass the "DO NOT CROSS" tape and walk up 34th ....I tell him he can't because of the manhole fire.
He pushes past me and goes to the phone booth giving me the finger....and he's saying.."it's in the street..I'm on the sidewalk" as if there is nothing that can happen to him on the sidewalk.
No problem. I keep trying to call him back, but I figure it's a job for P.D. to put hands on him and remove him. While on the phone...the manhole friggin' EXPLODES....big time!....and as it turns out the phone he's on is also right next to the electrical vault for the block and the square of sidewalk is blown a good 5 feet off the ground with him standing on it.(the manhole cover probably blew 25-30 feet...no joke)
I ran over to the guy and I swear he had a nice wet mark spreading around his crotch area.
I remember saying to him..."you are such a douche"(I have no idea why I said that!) and EMS came over to him. He was fine, but man talk about Karma!

              I do... Fells Point!

I remember just looking at the location on that video and thought it was mild compared to what I expected when I hit play. But you know what they say... it's all fun and games until someone loses an eye.

Tropical Storm Katia is forecast to become a hurricane in ~24 hours and a major hurricane within the next 4-5 days. Let's hope it curls away from the east coast, but it's something to keep an eye on.

Much too early to speculate on where Katia will make landfall in the US - if at all. It looks like the worst of it is going to stay north of the Caribbean Islands, so that's good.

My most recent post there is FACT on these gaming sites.

Now I am not supporting or nonsupporting Comcast with it... just pointing out the obvious with "gamers" these days.
