My friend just had a tree go through her house. We live on the water of Chesapeake Bay in Maryland.

We just moved to Lumberton NJ just a few days ago. We started to see some heavy wind and rain just about an hour ago. I imagine we have another 11 hours to go. It's something else to go from the rainless 110 degree days in Fort Worth to this!

They are predicting 10inches or so of rain....give or take.

But anyway, a little over 864,000 people in Virginia are without power.

I'd pinpoint it at 1984 when the PC became ubiquitous but semantics aside I echo this sentiment.

Still been raining on and off for the last few hours here. One minute, it's a downpour, next no rain, no wind, nothing. Guess it's supposed to get serious late tonight, early tomorrow morning.

Yeah, odd indeed. Wondering if it'll get heavier than this.

915K in VA/NC...luckily I'm not one of them, though the power has flickered a few times through the high winds today, as recently as half an hour ago I thought we were done. Lights kept dimming but everything stayed on. Seems like the worse of the storm has passed us by, and is weakening as it heads north.

Now the weatherman is saying that the storm has yet to 'fully hit' the Eastern Shore (where I live)...jeez how big is this thing?

In Central MD. Just had the power go out for a second. Not even enough to turn off PS3 but the TV went off. Pretty much over with around here.

                              Sent from RedskinNation.
